Just wondering what you all use to remove your make up? I have blemish oily prone skin & currently use the simple wipes.

cryst
I double cleanse. Oil + cotton pats to remove most makeup. More oil and hot cloth. Mild cleansing lotion and konjac sponge...

My skin has never looked better. Just oil cleansing doesn't do it for me either. But 'normal' makeup remover is too harsh... even these that are supposedly good for sensitive eyes etc,

Faith in Nature Rejuvinating facial wash. Although it's more like a lotion that is used like a facial wash. Leaves my skin so soft. Follwed by FIN moisturiser.

I have sensitive combination skin and it sorts it all out beautifully.

Lancôme bifacil eye makeup remover then Liz Earle cleanse & polish.
Had a disaster with wipes and waterproof mascara resulting in a 0.5cm gap in my eyelashes which took 4 months to grow back so switched to proper stuff and bingo! Full eyelashes (plus, the lancome stuff seems to condition my eyelashes, bonus)

Really old fashioned (my granny used it) but I love Anne French cleansing milk. Boots and a few others stock it but haven't seen it in supermarkets. Works well on my comination skin and very scrap of make up is gone.

Wipes should only really be used every now and then as they are not for your skin. I use baby lotion rubbed all over then removed with damp cotton wool, then I remove the remaining eye make up with the simple eye-make up remover, not the oily one. Then I apply my creams.

Not good I mean

A combination of oils - castor + almond now. I just massage it on my face then use Cetaphil to wash off.

dannyglick · 28/12/2016 19:45

Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser to remove all make-up.
Occasionally, if it's a very late night, or too tired, I use Simple face wipes.

I use an oil cleanser which I wash off in the shower. I use v heavy eyeliner and it's the only thing to get it off without dragging my skin around my eyes.

Used to love the smell of Ann French northernmum

Johnsons Eye Make up remover pads are becoming very hard to find (little tub with pink lid)Does anyone know why ?Best thing I've found

OhStuffingBalls · 28/12/2016 19:52

Bodyshop cammomile cleansing balm with a hot cloth.

Any leftover eye make up residue I just use a Simple wipe.

RandomDent · 28/12/2016 19:52

Sweat. Grin

I like Anne French too, although it's full of paraffin and I don't know how good that is for your skin! It definitely gets more off your face than other cleansing milks.

I use Nivea bi-phase eye make up remover, followed by Emma Hardie moringa balm with a cloth, followed by a good old rinse in water with Cetaphil. My skin has never been better. Balm and Cetaphil alone doesn't shift mascara properly.

Tried Waitrose own make eye remover pads yesterday Not bad but havent tried on waterproof mascara (which I wear only when likely to sweat/cry)yet .

BeaLola · 03/01/2017 19:04

I use micellar water for taking make up off and then oil cleanse afterwards and use a hot flannel to really clean my skin - has made a big difference.

SwedishEdith · 03/01/2017 19:12

Any kind of body oil to hand.
