I really need help with a nice dressing gown

I posted in Chat this morning but no-one answered.

It's for my mum and needs to be warm. She hates big, bulky fleece robes as she thinks they make her look fat! So maybe a drapey, jersey type fabric?

Probably mid-calf length, ideally quite fitted.

All ideas welcomed

Drapey jersey isn't likely to be warm though. Could you stretch to cashmere or fine wool?

White Company? All the best ones are from there imo

How about this? Warm and drapey

It's deffo got to be mid-calf. She wears it when all the little GSons are around, playing trains etc so must be decent!!

Strummerville - yes I was looking at Cashmere.

I was hoping to spend about £75 but could stretch to £150

Maybe something a bit like this but she is very short. About 5 ft.

Sorry - Ilovenanny - I also meant to say she really wouldn't do waterfall

You won't be able to put cashmere into the washing machine. I don't think there are any dressing gowns that are truly flattering to be honest! Did you take a look at Next?

I saw a lovely one in Marks the other day. Button through, just under the knee length, 3/4 sleeves not too kimono-ish on the sleeves (you could wash up without them falling into the sink!), a sort of thinnish towelling/veloury material. It was a kind of lavenderish, purplish bluish kind of thing. £35 I think.

David Neiper do nice nightwear, but not cheap . They may all be long rather than calf length

I have a lovely one from the white company. Was pricey but gorgeous.

Monsoon. I got one 2 or 3 years ago and it's great. Fitted, cosy, washable, goes in the drier and is light but warm. Sale on there at the moment.
