DD wants her hair like this - do you think it would ever look ok?

I'm completely against the idea. She's 14 though, so can obviously decide for herself, but I'm just thinking of ways to make it look good Blush she is keen on wearing a bandana with it?

It's the girl from stranger things. She's definitely got the style for it, I think. She's very feminine, but in a boho way? Do you think some people can pull a hairstyle like this off?

My only reservation to really short hair styles is whether or not you have scars on your skull. I would love to do similar but have had stitches so I know my longer hair covers up the hairless scar tissue.

Face shape and bone structure affect how any hairstyle on anyone would look.

If she wants it then let her. It can really really suit some people! Ifit doesn't it'll grow out.

Have you thought about using one of those photo things maybe there's an app or something to see if she likes it first.

You could also think about getting her to do a JustGiving page, DD1 raised almost £1000 for chopping off her hair!

(I would let her)

Very few people can own that style. I'd put her off it and suggest a pixie first.
A few times my dd has had hers cut short against my wishes and we both hated it! Twice.

Takes forever to grow out, a year later and it's still not grown back completely

Some of the students at my school shaved to a number 2 for Shave for a Cure. On those with fine features it looked great on those with rounder faces it did not look as good. But that being said, if she wants to, why not. It's a bitch to grow out though

I had a reeeeeally short haircut when I was 14. Regretted it instantly, eve in the hair salon. It didn't suit me at all. I felt naked, cold and self-conscious. But the great thing about hair is that it grows back! If you think she understands what she is doing, I'd let her do it. 💇🏻
