Is this an impossible ask? Black dress for mid thirty year old, hourglass figure

I want a flattering dress that doesn't make me look like mutton dressed as lamb but also that I wouldn't find in my mum'a wardrobe. I'm an hourglass figure so short shift-type dresses make me look like a sack of potatoes. Please help!

Yes, I think that Baukjen dress would work really well.
Some blingy accessories and you'd look festive but understated IMO.

The VW dress still wins though

And I don't like the AllSaints one, even though I am usually a fan of AS.
You'd have to have NO boobs. And still need tit tape - I could not be bothered

That Westwood dress is gorgeous. Seriously if I had some place to wear it I'd buy it . I am even contemplating it without anyplace to wear it. 🙄
