Does anyone else get bad bags under their eyes?

Mine seem to have settled in completely the past year or so, and I am fed up as they're very noticeable. I have a plethora of eye creams, gels that promise to eradicate the problem but don't seem to touch them. I am otherwise healthy and get just enough sleep. Has anyone found anything that works, even a tiny bit?

The advice from a you tube video to conceal only the shadow of the bag if you apply make-up rather than putting concealer over the whole thing. I think if you look for God's with eye bsg tutorial you would find it.

You need Revlon eye primer , it'll transform you!

Blocked tear ducts?

MysticTwat · 09/12/2016 12:53

I can't remember were I heard it, but some big puffy bags are actually 'oily creams' that haven't been absorbed.

I'll see if I can find any info about it.

BusterGonad · 09/12/2016 19:45

If the bags are protruding you need to use a concealer slightly darker than your foundation so it gives the illusion that they are not protruding, the worst thing you can use is a highlighter pen style concealer. Also if you use too much eye cream your eyes will puff just like Mystic said. You only need the size of a grain of rice for both eyes and do not put it on your eyelids.

Are there any fixes that are not makeup?

Iv got a similar issue but I don't wear makeup.

what a PP says about oily creams making bags puffy happens to me when I use creams specially if done just before bed, not so much when I use gel though.

Recently I started doing the spoon massage where you use two teaspoons, first introducing the spoons in a small amount of water with ice cubes and massaging around eyes and rest of face with them, repeat several times chilling spoons every time they start to warm.
Then dip in warm olive or other suitable oil and repeat massage dipping in the warm oil every time they cool down.
The area around my eyes is improving and a small lump I had on the lower socket of one eye has gone.
There's tutorials on line to do the massage. Can't link on my phone

Try anti histamine.

Pile cream!

Does anyone have any recommendations for reducing under eye puffiness?

FruityWidow · 05/03/2020 00:08

Cold spoons

Girlintheframe · 05/03/2020 06:31

The ordinary caffeine solution work well for me. Same idea as the spoons, causes the blood vessels to contract pushing the fluid out. I tap it around my eye in the morning and within a few minutes my bags have gone.

I have quite dark circles and deepish recesses under my eyes. I’m looking at tear trough fillers at the moment. Not sure I’m brave enough though!

mnthrowaway202020 · 05/03/2020 12:52

I’m really considering tear trough filler too, my eyes are more recessed rather than puffy however.

workshy44 · 05/03/2020 12:58

Never use eye cream at night (only morning), use gel if you have to use something. That is what I was told by a celebrity facialist and to be honest it works, my puffy eyes have all but disappeared

claragolightly · 05/03/2020 15:20

I have terrible eye bags! But I got a Foreo Luna mini for Christmas and I use it under my eyes...it's a miracle worker! Bags can sometimes be the result of sluggish lymphatic drainage so creams etc are not necessarily going to help.
