Help me look less hagged!

Since having my 2 kids I've aged unbelievably. Wrinkles, lines, bags, really dull dry skin.

I realise there is not much i can do (besides Botox!) about the wrinkles and lines but are there any products people can recommend to make my skin look glowing/luminous??? Obviously this is the holy grail but really hoping there is some miracle core out there!

I currently use whatever moisturiser is on offer (currently boots time delay), plus number 7 lift and luminate (clearly not working), a Clinique foundation and then some mac powder and blusher.

Any tips would be really appreciated!

The clarins double serum is brilliant for immediate fine line smoothing over. But mostly I'm replying to hear others answers

Thanks, might try this one! Any multiple recommendations are going on my Xmas list!

I'm using mint julep face mask once a week and it is really helping with my dull- looking skin.

My skin looks plumpest and most glowy when I've used the clarins anti-aging mask (red tube) as a night cream. Just a thin layer before bedtime and wash off in the morning (it's not a sticky coloured mask so you looks normal and it won't come off on your pillow).

Also Melvita extraordinary water in orange blossom is a lovely way to plump dehydrated skin. (And smells beautiful).

I got the M&S beauty calendar, so far 2 face products for me to experiment with!

Cheap way to try new, good quality stuff

Start from the inside out - water. Drink loads.
I'm 50, menopausal so I drink pints. If I miss the water , I look really rough.

I'm making my way through the Aldi Advent, little phials and tubes (I don't know if theres an order but I started a week early to give my skin a head start)

If I wear make-up, I use a hotcloth cleanser (Bodyshop Camomile butter) , if not I use a wash off cleanser.
Powder, even mineral or the baked ones does not suit my skin, it finds every tiny crevice to sit in.

Anything new , give it time. Skin works on a 28 day cycle so it can take a while to show effect.

Drinking more water than you need just makes you piss more Grin

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 03/12/2016 12:06

Grin aye there is that Baby but at 4am when I'm going for my 3rd wee of the night my skin looks blardy great !

Most people are nowhere near the 2litres- though mine is to stave off the flushes , worse from 3pm onwards .........so I pee more .

WrappedInBitsOfSilver · 03/12/2016 12:58

I'm with 70 on the inside out thing - I take big doses of fish oils, vitamin d, drink lots of water, try and eat well and limit sugar, and although I look after my skin on the outside I think it's the inside stuff that makes people say I have good skin.

I use either a wash off cleanser or the Superdrug hot cloth one. Tried double cleansing but it just made me sore.

I use clearasil pads for an acid tone and then a moisturiser with niacinamide in it (Olay) plus SPF for the day.

Sometimes I use rosehip oil - literally 2 drops on a wet face and it really plumps up my skin.

It's really hard when you're not sleeping well though - how old are your children?

Exercise, fresh air, water, yoga, cut back on alcohol (the latter point made a HUGE difference for me).

Then cleanse, tone with Clinique clarifying lotion, use clarins double serum (at night), moisturise with Clinique dramatically different lotion.

Use an exfoliating scrub once or twice per week. I also find that a subtle face tanner makes a big difference to how healthy you look.

Revealall · 03/12/2016 14:39

I was going to say that Petal.
I have the same issues and only look halfway decent with a bit of Dove summer sun body lotion ( that has a bit of self tan in it).
I have been on a good diet ( no sugar, lots of water, little alcohol) and my face still looks shit.
