Cruelty free beauty range

Anybody got any recommendations for a cruelty free brand who do a nice/luxurious range of skincare and makeup (or just the makeup)? I really want to develop a loyalty to a brand and not flit between lots of different makes, none of which are standing out as amazing to me currently. Have dehydrated skin and a bit spot prone- want something that is going to make me look 21 again and as it's Christmas don't mind a steeper price tag as I can ask for this for pressies. Tia!

Neals yard and liz earle are my go to brands, although both have limited make up lines.

For luxurious makeup cruelty free/organic/no horrible parent companies etc. there's Kjaer Weiss who does a lovely highlighter and cream blushes in gorgeous compacts which you refill. Lip products and eye shadows, powders good too. The foundation is a bit hard work but can be very beautiful. Ellis Faas is another but I hate the clicky pens almost everything comes in as they don't work properly but skin veil foundation is one of the best foundations out there and comes in a pump bottle. RMS beauty also has a few nice bits and bobs just remember that it's a raw brand so you'll be tossing it out within six months as it goes off, quicker if someone's fobbed you off with old stock.

If you're less strict something like Urban Decay, Nars, (and a few others) are cruelty free and don't sell in China but are owned by questionable parent companies. Look up the cruelty free kitty blog for a comprehensive overview.

Skincare is a large minefield, going organic and leaping bunny is the safest route for that. On the luxurious end it's usually US based like Tata Harper, etc.

suneetacosmetics.co.uk lovely moisturisers, cleansers, scrubs etc. I've tried some of their products and really like them. No makeup though.

Tropic skincare is lovely. I haven't tried the makeup though as I don't wear much.

Chantecaille are vegan and don't sell in China.

From their website: "ChaNTECAILLE SKINCARE PRODUCTS ARE FREE OF PHTHLATES, SULPHATE, DETERGENTS, MINERAL OIL, PETROLATUM, PALM OIL, SYNTHETIC COLOR, SYNTHETIC FRAGRANCE AND GMOS. WE ARE CRUELTY FREE."

Their products are lovely. The tinted moisturiser is the best.

True about Chantecaille (can't remember their parent company anymore, if they have one) they make my favourite mascara ever just don't ask me about the price tag. Also just remembered Illamasqua, Surratt, and Koh Gen Do, all cruelty free and refuse to sell in China (not sure on the parent companies).

Illamasqua and pixi are good and totally cruelty free ie not owned by companies that do test on animals/sell in china.
