Teeth Whitening

Dd (20) hates her teeth (and has always been a complete nightmare about cleaning them) and wants to whiten them. Other than dentists/salons is there a reasonably priced and safe way of doing this. I've heard of whitening strips and she says there is one that uses a gum shield type affair. Anybody got any experience please.
TIA.

You can buy diy kits from lots of places I've seen it in boots b+m
No doubt amazon or eBay will have kits
However in the U.K. It's illegal to provide whitening unless you are are qualified and registered dentist this is to protect the customer as realistically what can a beautician or hairdresser do if it goes wrong ( and it can ) You are entitled to self treat but again if it goes wrong (chemical burn hypersensitivity etc etc ) what will you do
The sensible thing is to consult a dentist My boss charges £390 so not massively expensive

I have had my teeth whitened at the dentist's and have also bought Whitestrips on Ebay etc.
They (the strips) are quite strong, IMO, and I have to be careful using them. They can cause pain and sensitivity.
The stuff the dentist used was gentler, I think.
By the way, both Dentist whitening and home bleaching have to be repeated, yearly or thereabouts. If your DD has sensitive teeth at all I would definitely urge her to consult a dentist over whitening.

I use listerine whitening for the entire time I'm in the shower (about 15minutes) and honestly my teeth are shades lighter than they were.
I got the idea from oil pulling but decided it had to be better to swish with mouthwash.

I was going to get them done professionally for my wedding but didn't need to bother.
