he said it wasn't grey as its white

but in answer to your question mine have had their first haircuts (at the hairdressers) at about 14 months. They love it.

BettySpaghetti · 15/02/2007 13:36

oh, just realised I think you mean take them along whilst you get yours cut?? If so, no -never fancied having to stop mid-haircut to placate screaming baby!

JolieGirl · 15/02/2007 13:36

Oh yes, my DD has been having a croydon facelift stylie since the age of 3 weeks. And did I mention I have a Bugaboo?

...........off to rant some more about people's perceptions that Bugaboos are chavvy.....

I'm just back from the hairdressers with my 2 year old - they cut hers for free if she comes along. She sat on my knee and was all angelic!

DS2 (1.3) needs a haircut. He looks like a hippy. Luckily my friend owns one of the hairdressers in town so I get her to do the boys' hair. Or perhaps I'll do it myself (as I did with ds1) and he'll look like worzel gummidge.

Oui. C'est vrai.

The three of us (me + DS nearly 4 and DD 2) all go together, midweek. The hairdresser has an 18mo old so knows what they are like and if there is someone else there it is usually a friendly old lady. They usually play reasonably quietly but last time starting fighting over a toy and nearly knocked over a display stand of haircare products.

I'll ask her if she remembers giving a fish a haircut. She remembers most people.....

She bought it fairly recently (4 or 5 years?). Lots of drama involving bit of a spat with previous partner blah blah.

They do real coffee and an amaretto biscuit. Yum.

brandy7 · 15/02/2007 13:48

no cause my mum and sisters are hairdressers

sis does get a lot of kids in her salon,i was always shocked at the price for a fringe cut until she told me it takes so long to do it cause of the fidgeting/crying with some of them they have to charge a lot

LucyJones · 15/02/2007 13:49

I don't because it is great reason to leave kids with dh and go into town for 5 hours (haircut takes one hour the rest is taken up with sopping and having a coffee on my own - happens once every 6 months )

sopping is of course shopping

LucyJones · 15/02/2007 13:51

do you guys have coffee when getting your haircut?
My h/dresser always offers but I always say no cos the thought of my hair (or anyone elses) floating around in my coffee is just too grim for wards

Bozza · 15/02/2007 13:51

Since DS was a baby I have got together with friends and had mine done by a mobile hairdresser while we mind each others kids. She also does the children for free. Which worked well until DS went to school. Then we started doing his ourselves with the clippers but I did suggest he went to the hairdresser for a trim but he wants my hairdresser to do it but she only works when her DS is at school.
