I'm in need of a style and beauty revamp, and I'm trying to find some new role models to take inspiration from!

I have red hair, hazel eyes and very pale skin. Who should I be following on Instagram/obsessively googling, do you think?

I realise many of the current celeb so-called 'redheads' in actual fact have their colourist to thank for a complete change from their original, (sometimes quite openly, more usually on the quiet), but I've always held up RH as one of the true originals...oh well.

She remains, of course, totally gorgeous and stylish whatever).

No idea on her name IRL, but Abby in Scandal. Always overshadowed by the main character Olivia, but Abby always looks awesome.

Sorry *Autumnal" he died 23 years ago, and the only pics I have are black and white or faded.

But, he was 6'3" - very,very tall for his era (born in the 1930s when men were about 5'9') and had bright orange traditional ginger hair. It was very springy tight curls, and he had fair freckled skin and dark brown eyes.

He lived abroad a lot, and wore the ex-pat uniform of beige slacks and a navy blazer with brass buttons. Or 501s, a cowboy shirt, cowboy boots and a stetson (that was when we were in Houston of course!). Or a pinstriped 3 piece suit. Or black velvet flares and a floral shirt and beads - the 70s really were his heyday. He had a scarlet and navy striped jumper which he wore deliberately to see if anyone dared tell him he shouldn't wear red. He may not have been the Vogue interpretation of style, but he had his own style in bucketloads. All this time later DM still says that he was the most interesting person she's ever met.

4 DC and 6 GDC, and only one slightly auburn head amongst us.

I've just been checking out the Forever Amber website, her hair is gorgous and this made me laugh (in a kind of, yes, that's exactly what it's like) kind of way:

I have dark auburn hair and pale skin.
I love navy - blue is the contrasting colour of orange, so it brings out the auburn glow in my hair. Although lighter blues just look weird on me.

Black is good too and I think looks great with red hair. I always think that if you were to put an autumnal leaf with lots of other leaves you kind of loose it, but if you put on black paper it would really stand out. I once read an interview with julianne Moore who said she doesn't wear a lot of colour as she carries a lot of colour around with her already. I think that is pretty good advice.

But if you wear black, make sure you wear black mascara or your eyes just disappear!
