When your chin bristles start poking thru but are too short to pluck...

Gah! I can feel the sharp thick nubbin of black hair poking out my chin.
But it's too short to pluck, even with my tweezermans and so, in trying to get it out, I have created what looks like a spot!

Is it just me? How do you deal with the few days when the bugger is only rearing its head?!

Thanks!

41 here and I can count at least 50 hairs as thick and black as spiders legs. I shave my face every day. I also have a blanket of face fluff to go with it. Shock

Wombletor · 20/11/2016 22:24

I'm 43 and have chin hairs and they appeared in my early 30s. Its a full time job keeping up with them. Brain of my life. I pluck literally everydaySad

salon ipl or at home device? 😁

I am a pale faced , dark haired hairy Mary too. Tried everything over the many years & recently bought an epiltor used on body and face. It is brilliant.

Home IPL didn't work for me. Plucking is depressing, I'm overwhelmed by choice as in "Which do I pluck first?" I use my epilator - too painful for my legs but somehow my chin and neck is fine

TheMightyMing · 20/11/2016 23:22

Me too! I've got about three black chin ones, plus a few random facial spikes. I watch them like a hawk! I'm 45.

Lasers worked for me. Half Asian so very thick dark hair.
Had mine done 3 years ago at the local Sk:n (sp?) clinic.
Doesn't work on white hairs so thought I should get them done before it was too late. Tache, chin & sideburns all gone. Still have some scars from digging out ingrowns with tweezers though.

SleightOfMind · 20/11/2016 23:24

Oh, I'm 42.

NoSuchThingAsThePerfectParent · 20/11/2016 23:30

Op, you just need the right tweezers. With the right pair (my last ones cost about £20 from boots) as soon as you feel it you can swipe it. But not with cheap ones.

You just might have to tease it upright first Wink

It was IPL in a salon. I've had other areas done, but the most successful place was my chin.

WhiteHairReally · 22/11/2016 01:07

A little copse of the blighters, at each end of the tache area. They arrived soon after getting a Mirena coil at 33/34 ish, getting for 20 years ago. They have now been joined by randoms on chin and from moles. So glad to hear of others who hover with Tweezerman and magnifying mirror, ready to pounce.

CoolCarrie · 22/11/2016 09:45

Yep, WhiteHairReally, there are loads of us out here. I don't feel like an oddball now reading threads like this, soo glad not to be the only one in the world who had thicker hair on my chin, than on my head!

TheLadyDoor · 22/11/2016 09:55

I've just started using a Braun facial epilator.
It's brilliant and I'm much more confident that I'm getting the little blighters.

MidnightSheep · 22/11/2016 10:02

Why is it I can apply make up and not notice the little blighters, but when I check in the car vanity mirror I look like I've got a hipster beard? What is it with the car mirror that shows the hairs so clearly? I now keep tweezers in the car from I can pluck the worst offenders!!!!

Bright winter sunshine is my friend/enemy in my bathroom. One day smooth chin, the next a black bristle pokes through. Weird
About 40 was when mine hit. I have one which by morning will he ready to rip out. And peach fuzz face too
