trainers for 2yo DD that aren't white and pink?

Is there such a thing? I have been to Clarks, I have been to Startrite. They are all pink and white and horrible or worse, lilac and pink (apologies to anyone who has bought your DD such a pair). Has anybody been to the One Small Step place in Putney? Is their range any better?

Do you want them fitted? If not the choice is a bit wider.

Next do some nice pumps - I think they are probably quite girly but more boho than chav!

Designer shops do infant versions of adult brands - again these can look a bit chav. I recently took ds for new trainers and ended up with lacoste because he liked the crocodile logo . I still cringe slightly every time he wears them.

Skechers do a more colourful range as do Geox. Does it have to be trainers dd has a purple nubuck shoe(possibly from their winter range as no longer on Startrite website) which we got from John Lewis.

I second Next. I love their pumps.
Having said that my BIL bought some really nice Nike Trainers for dd.
I normally dont like branded trainers on little ones but these are lovely.

red ones in girls section, other colours in boys

some nice khaki boots in girls but they may be bugger to get on a la Converse

I saw those red canvas shoes in the Next catalogue but I wanted leather for this time of year, also ideally not lace-ups. If DD is a 6 at Startrite and a 6.5 in Clarks, do you think she'd be a 6 or 7 in Next?

No Geox in my local Startrite, just the purple and white ones with lights (another personal dislike as I think they make the shoe too heavy). Why are little girl's trainers so, well, chav-like?
