My skin is hypersensitive and "difficult" it breaks out in spots and rashes and feels hot and tight if I upset it! So instead of just sticking to my usual products I got bored again and tried something new (lrp toleriane ultra day and night) and now my skin feels horrible! It's red, rashy, sore and uncomfortable :(. This is the second time I've used them and my skin definitely does not approve!! Grrrrrrr

I've recently bought Kalme products and really like them.

Sorry I was trying to right whilst BF the baby 😁 If you google Kalme and scroll there are quite a few articles where it has really helped people with red angry skin. Might be worth a try.

I think I probably have same type of skin as you, OP, and am always foolhardily experimenting with similar results. Needed a steroid injection once after a a particularly bad reaction to a cheap face mask. Anyway, cetaphil cleanser (sometimes with water if I want to live a little and exfoliate with a cloth) and either their moisturising cream or Eucerin's urea moisturisers don't seem to create burning tomato face and odd bumps. Am now experimenting again (cos I'm never satisfied and never learn) with Lush's Celestial moisturiser, am on Day 2 with no adverse reaction and it's taken care of some Central Heating induced dry patches, but I'll probably wake up with a swollen face in the morning... Hope you find a routine that works for you!

Thanks sleepfreezone the products do sound great but I'm not allowing myself to try anything new again....at least for a week Grin

Toejamfootball- bloody horrible isn't it!! I've never tried cetaphil but my cleanser is one thing I've stayed loyal to luckily lol, I have however tried a few eucerin products but sadly didn't get on with them :(

Oh I do this too. If I stick to a few tried and trusted products there's no problem but sometimes I fall for a bit of hype even I know it could - literally - end in tears.

Most recently it was a free sample of Elemis Marine cream which luckily had no lasting effect - just felt like liquid cling film. Before that it was Micellar water ('for sensitive skin' - ha!). I just managed to rinse it all off before my cheeks caught fire.

When I do something daft, I find the best thing is to use olive oil for everything until my face has calmed down.
