Dunno... Is it radioactive?

Pestilence13610 · 16/11/2016 17:25

Or ... carcinogenic?

Otherwise bollocks

AdoraBell · 16/11/2016 17:27

Utter bollocks IMO.

Shallishanti · 16/11/2016 17:29

yup, just like pentapeptides- that's our gold standard for sciency sounding bollocks in this household

Pestilence13610 · 16/11/2016 17:33

If you look at it from another angle, your skin is covered in cells, a flannel works on a cellular level, a dead cell level.

specialsubject · 16/11/2016 17:37

yes, almost all beauty product claims fall into that category.

'helps minimise', 'reduces appearance of' = i.e. does absolutely sweet FA but we'll take your money anyway.

Grin
Shallishanti · 16/11/2016 17:39

I'm sure I read somewhere that if the products were actually effective they'd have to be classified as medicines and hence licenced etc

scaevola · 16/11/2016 17:41

If you put it on your skin, it's working on a cellular level. Your skin, like every other part of the body, being made up of cells.

It's quasi-scientific marketing bollocks.

As is most beauty copy tbh. Though sometimes at just enjoy the ride...
