Home brow tint that works - recommendations please!

Have already tried both at home kits that you can get out of Boots - they're OK but they don't 'take' in the same way that my salon tint does. I read somewhere there is an ingredient that is now lacking, which would explain why the home tints that I have tried don't seem to work that well.

Any recommendations for what I can buy from Amazon (or similar) instead that actually works? My salon does a great job but it's a nightmare trying to get an appointment so I'd rather go DIY for convenience.

I had the same problem and bought a salon one called Refectocil in Natural Brown. It seems to be much more effective. HTH.

I use Just for Men moustache dye. Works a treat.

I use ColorSport from Boots - you've probably tried it already OP. It doesn't work miracles but makes them look a bit thicker and darker.

Refectocil. I order mine from a beauty supplier on eBay, the whole tube costs me £8 and lasts about 6 months! :-)

Half of my Refectocil order has arrived. Both ordered from the official shop on Amazon within a minute of each other, but for some reason the developing creme qualified for 24 hour delivery but the tint can't be delivered until tomorrow

Lotta - yes I have tried it and the day one result is great. It's gone by day three! I want something that will last me 7-10 days as my salon tint does. It's for time-saving more than anything. I'm lucky in that I have reasonably thick brows already but the tint just fills the gaps in a bit and means that I don't have to faff around with a brow brush in the mornings.

Refectocil is definitely the longest lasting one I've tried.

OK - results are in. Very happy with it - it looks like a salon job (maybe not quite as finished as they do, but I suppose it's easier to do it to someone else when they are lying flat, rather than DIY in front of a mirror!

A bit more practice and I think I'll have it down. I have used medium brown, 2cm tint to 10 drops of developer. Used my brow pencil (after cleaning it first) to apply and removed smudges with a cotton bud.

'Mine' are not as sparse as the picture makes out. I'm lucky to have reasonable brows which I have never plucked to death. However over the last year or two I have noticed a definite difference in the colour - they are getting lighter which is making them look patchy (am 38).

Brow pencil? That should say brow brush!

Another vote for just for men beard and moustache dye! Works a treat
