Nail foils

Anyone tried them? Do you just rub them on your nails? Do they last?

Anyone?

I have not tried them but I also want to know!

Think we are going to be unlucky on this one mrstumble! Might have to just get some and see what happens!

I tried the Jamberry ones and didn't like them. I found them difficult to apply. I wouldn't use foils again and will stick to varnish.

As above. Very difficult to apply without getting wrinkles on them.

I've used chix ones (cheapo from eBay) on my toes and found them fantastic- looked great and lasted well. Took a bit of practice to get the hang of applying them. Never tried them on fingers though.

I've used NailHugs quite recently after seeing them advertised on Facebook. I believe they send from Canada. It free P&P a took around a week for delivery. I quite like them but can be tricky to use as very fragile. I've also found that one strip only does one of my hands (long nail beds) so you would need to buy a few packets if you planned to apply them regularly.

I would still recommend though as they are very effective and lasted a while (have used on both natural and gel nails).

NailHugs are not foils though, more of a transfer/sticker.

Pretty easy to use, they took longer to do than varnish, but they lasted about a month.

Do you mean ones that are individual nails or the foil that comes on a roll? I don't like the individual ones, I have quite curved nail beds and can never get them to stick without loads of wrinkles. Most of them you do just stick on (although will probably need to trim down to size) but some require heating so check before you buy them.

My friend does Jamberrt and there are some great designs. Once you get the hang of it, they're ok to put on and really do last but I needed to do some googling for tips. My best ones were:
Buff nails and smooth them first and clean with alcohol first. Heat wraps before applying them put a freezer bag over and heat again with hairdryer and smooth with rubber buffer and for curved nails you can seal them with hair straightener (with care).
