Seasalt waterproof coats

I have a Boden waterproof coat that's quite old and the zip is going, it's like the old fashioned souwester style yellow waterproofs (except it's pink) and it says it's poly/cotton so I'm assuming like the coated cotton Seasalt coats.

I'm looking to replace it with something a bit less sack like (I have lost a bit of weight) but it is also quite heavy.

Are the Seasalt ones quite heavy? This is really my autumn/spring/unseasonably warm but wet day coat as I also have a quilted Craghopper long coat for horrible cold winter rainy days. But not my summer one as I have a floral trench I'm very attached to for those days.

So I think I want something mid-weight!

I have a Seasalt seafolly jacket - wore it over spring and summer and is still doing me OK in autumn but would layer up in winter. I love the seafolly, looks good, keeps me dry and isn't too heavy. Sounds like it might suit what you're looking for.

To be honest I'd struggle to say - I generally have to buy a size larger up top than for my bottom half and that was true for my jacket but I've found sizes vary so wildly these days it's hard to say - I have clothes ranging from size 14 to 18 and all of them fit! The Seasalt website lists the measurements they use for sizing so that might be worth checking out.

I'm the same, and always seem to have to get larger coats/jackets than regular tops too.
