Recommendations for foundation for acne please?

Hi,
I desperately need a foundation that doesn't cause a break out! Whatever I use seems to give me mighty red spots the next day Sad. I have used bare minerals once at a counter and I didn't have a reaction the next day but I didn't love the finish. Perhaps too sheer and matte a finish?

Any recommendations would be so so appreciated! Anybody tried normal brands like l'oreal or maybelline ones?

Can you buy Paula's choice in the UK?

Avene products are amazing.
A bit pricey, but worth it.

As another poster said, make sure to wash your brushes and sponges. I got over my acne luckily before I had enough money to start wearing much makeup but looking back I think I would avoid any greasy foundation and maybe even just do powder alone, and a different kind of powder...well bronzer I guess, for 'contour' as we call it now. It's still just called makeup. I just think that because of possible oils and stuff that your skin is producing, and mine was producing. I got pills from my gp to stop it, and it's stopped now thankfully. There are little electric cleansing brushes, like big electric toothbrushes you can get to give your skin an extra clean if youre trying to get all the gunk off it. Look and videos on youtube and decide on that. They're cheap enough anyway.

Revlon colorstay for combi skin. Has salicylic acid in it.

*Belle I've never ordered from there but I was looking the other day and I think there is a UK site.

We treated acne wrongly in the last few decades - harsh foaming cleansers/scrubbing with peach kernels and rough facecloths.

It's all about being gentle now. I've totally changed my approach to my skin.

Bloody phone! Could you link to the Paula's choice BHA? There seems to be several similar things.

Another fan of LRP BB blur. It's actually quite thick so good coverage. It's the only product I've found that doesn't break me out or block pores.
