Sheepskin or warm boot-style slippers - recommendations please

I really need super-warm boot slippers. Currently wearing my daughter's cast-offs (cream, Primark) because I can't find a style I like. I quite like the fact these are cream but want to find ones that are properly cosy. Happy to pay £60/70

Ambleside Sheepskin have good stuff at competitive prices. They have two shops in Ambleside too. Very helpful if you need to ask questions on size/fit.

I bought slippers for DM and DMiL 4 years ago which are both going strong still - hard soled ones

Does anyone have non-leather recommendations? Pretty please Smile

I bought these in desperation my local supermarket a few years ago. They are incredibly warm, have a good rubber sole and are still going strong three years later. Not the most glamorous, but I don't really care.

These don't say what they're made of, but mine aren't leather.

DD (11) had a pair of £20(ish) Next synthetic sheepskin boots. It was the first time I'd bought her cheap boots ( normally has proper leather Geox etc) and I dithered over getting them. They actually lasted all winter and were passed on in a reasonable state. She currently has vile pink Sainsbury's ones, but they are wearing well too, no heel sagging and still soft and fluffy inside. Really surprised.

Oooh, those do look cosy flak, thank you!

I am very cautious of the ones that have a sheepskin sole, and not a rubber one. My experience from being a kid was that they rubbed bare and then were lethally slippery on stairs!

I like the look of those Totes ones, just miffed they only appear to go up to a 7.

I'm always on the look out for good slippers. I was also disappointed wth Celtic & Co, shelled out over £40 and by the end of the winter all the sheepskin on the soles had gone.

I bought Tote ones in TK Maxx last year and they were cheap but are stretched out of shape now.

The North Face ones are probably the best I've had, lasted about 3 years and are amazingly warm.

I used to have the Secret Support Ugg type boots from M&S - they were very toasty

They lasted well and held their shape

I've had Celtic and Shepherd and Ugg boots which I wear as a fashion item.

Thickest - Ugg, Celtic, Shepherd
Best Sole (outdoor) - Ugg, Shepherd, Celtic
Workmanship (durability of stitching) Ugg, Shepherd, Celtic

If you can handle boots for slippers then Ugg all the way. I hate their damn 'slippers' though. I want a proper shortie boot which they simply don't make.
So if I had to choose, then Celtic. And their colours are better. If their stitching was better, then I'd be on 6 years with my purple faves
