Recommendations for girls' underwear

In particular, ones where the gusset is wider than a toothpick!

We've got some great Carter's ones we bought in the US a couple of years ago, but some are starting to get tatty. DD is nearly 7, tall and slim. I've looked in Asda and Sainsburys and their girls' knickers are like backwards thongs.

So before I go to every bloomin' store on the high street, where is good for girl's knickers that actually covers what needs to be covered?

Boden are fantastic, they're the only pants that get handed down to dd2 because they last forever.

Thanks everyone! I'm gonna start stalking the Boden sales!

OMG I was about to start my own thread on this. Why do shops now seem to think that a tiny strip of material is an acceptable gusset? Poor DD (3) is forever complaining that hers are being "hitched up". They're hardly wide enough to cover anything. Whatever happened to proper pants for small girls? Pretty much all the retailers seem to sell only tiny bikini-style pants for little girls - even M&S and John Lewis. (Interesting to see the Boden recommendations - might have to wait for some surplus cash for those though!)

I've been looking everywhere for some decent quality ones. Finally came across some very cheap cotton ones in Primark yesterday which fit the bill! The gusset is twice the size and width of the Mothercare ones I'd previously bought! And they were only about £2 for a pack of 7.

Another vote for boden.
