Sophisticated autumnal clothes help needed!

I'm a 21 yo mum , mixing with 30yo mostly (both dating and other mums in my area). I wear a lot of H&M, Topshop but am finding that as we approach Autumn, I want to get my Hygge on in a serious manner! So I'm looking for Swedish inspired , warm clothing to get me through a lot of cold winter walks (currently without a licence ) as well as looking well put together and presentable to both boyfriend and mum friends too! Thanks

I don't have any advice, but I'm a bit older (okay - significantly older - 44) and looking for similar advice... Do you mind if I hang around and eavesdrop?

Uniqlo can also be fab for cashmere.

I read somewhere that the key to clothes after weight loss is really well fitting lingerie , so maybe you could start by going for a fitting at John Lewis ? I'm a size 8 and a C cup and was wearing a totally wrong size of bra which gave me absolutely no support and was causing me back problems. Especially if you've recently had kids!
This might sound totally mad, but I am so much more body confident since I had my ds (10 months) because I finally feel womanly after years of EA from my bastard father treating me like a little child. To be called a woman by a bloke does make my heart skip a little!

I've heard good things about Hush on MN, some of my White Company stuff looks a little tired and I didn't even buy it that long ago also love Mint Velvet and All Saints (although quality is awful!)

Cos also good. My Hush stuff lasts years! And Me and Em. Had afab jumper from them.

Hush is perfect for that type of outfit. It's worth the money Imo, had pieces from there that have lasted years. Their thick cashmere scarves are pricey but I've worn them constantly in winter. Also Great Plains and boden if you choose carefully.
I mix with odd bits from fat face, white stuff (increasingly rarely) and white company.

I have bought the Hush Tara dress in burgundy, just waiting for Autumn weather in the east.

I think it's a case of finding individual items in a variety of shops. Sometimes independent boutique type shops have really good finds, and they are not just ££.

Been having a look at Cos online and not overly keen on it , but Hush on the other hand , I will be checking out their concessions tomorrow in London. A real fan of wool tight dresses , over tights with boots in winter , or big slouchy cashmere or wool rib knit jumpers over grey skinnies with heeled ankle boots

Blue! That's the exact one I've picked out for myself , wondering whether to get both black and burgandy (just because ...)

Yay for Hush! There's a really good blog called The Spike that can put up good fashion finds.

Hush Tara dress is fab, I have the navy short sleeve summer version and just bought burgundy and forest green for the winter! So easy to wear and I always feel well put together in it - if you get my meaning.

Ok actually in love with Hush right now. Feel like I am going to bin my entire wardrobe in favour of this.

I know ! And spurred on by this excitement I'm sorting through my clothes once again and making many piles bound for the charity shop

Well, please to report that I've actually found a 100% cashmere Cos jumper in the pile of "clothes to sort out"!

H and m are doing v cheap cashmere this year. I got an oversized v neck grey jumper to wear with coated leggings for €119 not sure what sterling price is but obvs v cheaper.

I agree Uniqlo is great for knitwear. I think with Cos you have to see it for real. The website looks grim but I've got a couple of second hand things that I love.

I will be suspended from S&B for saying so but, if you like knitted dresses, then I think there are judicious buys to be found at White Stuff. Not tunics, proper knitted dresses.

I find Hush quality really random but washing it very, very carefully helps prolong it.

But don't try too hard. You don't say what your usual style is but I think fitting in is overrated and I bet your friends are secretly really envious.
