Best skincare for oily skin?

As I'm getting older my skin seems to get more oily and I find my make up slides off my face by mid afternoon. Can you recommend a good cleanser and moisturiser?
Also what is a good medium to full coverage foundation for oily skin?

Estée Lauder, Double Wear Light is fantastic for properly greasy skin, it really doesn't move. If that's a bit too heavy for you, Hourglass make a primer that makes most foundations work for greasy skin.

Someone will be along in a minute to tell you to exfoliate the grease away with glycolic acid, which is about the worst thing you can do to acne prone skin. If you have either the itchy, dehydrated kind of greasy skin or you're acne prone, stick to washing your face with some inoffensive, like Cetaphil.

Retinol has made my skin much less greasy but more hydrated, it's worth a try.

The Clinique moisture surge intense moisturiser is brilliant on my oily skin. It's oil free and really replenishing but not greasy at all.

Thanks, I'll look them up

It is tempting to just scrub my skin to bits, so I'm looking for a whole new approach

Do you have acne? Your OP doesn't mention it but a PP does, so I wasn't sure if you had another thread or something. A clay cleanser is lovely for oily skin. It won't remove make up so you'd need a dedicated product for that, but clay helps absorb oil, so it's like a quick daily version of a mask. The Bravura one is my favourite.

I am absolutely in love with the Omorovicza mud cleanser. It is heinously expensive but has dramatically improved my very combination skin (extreme dryness and extreme oiliness!).

Don't get acne, just oily skin, I'll look out for a clay mask. I tried a sample of the Omorovicza cleanser and it was amazing but a bit outside what I can afford

I'd suggest you go to a skin specialist and get some proper skin care and treatments. That's what I did and I have lovely skin now.

Seriously though, you have to be careful you don't strip your skin otherwise the oil production will just go into overdrive.

I use Glo-Theraputics (serum, cleaners, moisturiser) and Benefit Hello Flawless Liquid Foundation and I prime beforehand with Heliocare 360 Gel Oil Free Dry Touch SPF 50. I then use Benefit Pore Professional to blot throughout the day. Still haven't found a way to stop my eye makeup running though despite trying MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Painterly (and powdering over) and Laura Mercier eye Primer and Benefit Stay Don't Stray AND waterproof mascara. My eye make up just slides anyway. Can't wait for autumn for that reason. I think the key to summer makeup is to get your brows and lashes dyed and use Chanel cake liner - the only one that doesn't budge in my experience (black looks a bit harsh on blue eyed blondes though sadly).
