Best cleansing balm/gel etc

I normally use "Emma Rankin- moringa cleansing balm" which I kinda like it but it reasonably expensive and would like to try something else, would mind paying the same price £30-ish.

Have tried elemis pro collagen cleansing balm, M&S pure natural beauty instance radiance hot cloth cleanser, Liz Earle hot cloth cleanser, pixie nourishing cleansing balm, have listed them there in order of preference (elemis-favourite, pixi-least favourite).

I have dry/oily combination skin and sensitive eyes. I use all with a face cloth and love how they remove the make up very throughly and leave skin soft

Any ideas what to try next?

I like the No. 7 hot cloth cleanser. It's about ten pounds. I have dry, slightly sensitive skin. I use it in the shower, really simple.

I find Body Shop facial skincare products too harsh for my skin.

Good tips all thanks.

Another vote for the body shop camomile cleansing butter. With the 40% off codes I always stock up as it goes out of stock often.

I'm not a huge fan of balms (prefer an oil for first cleanse), but out of the ones I have tried, I do like the Body Shop one the best, even over Emma Hardie. Removes eye make up better, doesn't sting my eyes at all and is obviously a lot cheaper.

I'm a massive fan of Superdrug's Naturally Radiant hot cloth cleanser. It is as good as Liz Earle, super cheap and not tested on animals. Although, I might try the Bodyshop one next time.

Unless you have really sensitive skin I don't think you need to spend a huge amount on a cleanser as it doesn't stay on your skin for long. IMO a moisturiser is more important.

Another vote for Body Shop camomile cleansing butter.

If you want to try to No. 7 one, the ladies on the counters will decant a squirt into a mini-jar for you to take home and see whether you like it.

JLbaby How do you get 40% off at Body Shop?

orangebird69 · 29/07/2016 12:39

TTDO or TBS Camomile balm here too. I also love the Superdrug Naturally Radiant HCC. And a bargain at £3 a go!

squoosh · 29/07/2016 13:05

I too use TBS Camomile Cleansing Oil! Love it. And stockpile when they have one of their 40% off promotions.

Absolutelynothingelse · 29/07/2016 13:06

My Emma Hardie has melted in the sun we had so it's now living in the fridge. It was not a pleasant experience putting it on runny.

Clinique,TTDO balm is my favourite.

DameXanaduBramble · 29/07/2016 13:09

Clinique take the day off.

LockedOutOfMN if you register your email address on their website they'll let you know when their sales are on. They're usually monthly. Never pay full price for anything from The Body Shop.

JLbaby · 29/07/2016 13:11

LockedOut - the Body Shop website always have some sort of discount code available, it's always on their home page. At the moment it's save £10 when you spend £25, but the Camomile Cleansing Butter is out of stock (due in mid-August).

LockedOutOfMN · 29/07/2016 13:42

Thanks squoosh and JLbaby, never knew about that. Some Body Shop stuff is lovely, but so expensive. That's a great tip, I appreciate it.

StepAwayFromTheEcclesCakes · 29/07/2016 16:34

A nice cheap alternative is a big bottle of grapeseed oil, I use it to take off my 24 hour make up, rub a capful into my skin and remove with a hot cloth. lovely clean soft skin.

Feefeefs · 29/07/2016 18:20

I bought the camomile balm today, got it in store rather than online, it was the last tub! Excited to use it.
