Help! Extremely sensitive to perfume. Searching for a very light, clean scent.

I have never worn perfume, but have recently had a yearning to have another look for a scent I can bear. Most perfumes make me feel sick or wheezy (I'm a bit asthmatic). I yearn for something very light and clean smelling. Fresh, perhaps even citrussy, but it must be very mild IYSWIM. Does such a scent exist? Thanks Flowers

I was going to suggest Eau Dynamisante too. I prefer O De Lancôme but can wear both.

Another one who finds Clarins Eau Dynamisante a bit nauseating and overpowering. Clarins Eau des jardins, however, sounds like just what you are looking for - it has notes of pink grapefruit in it. Or DKNY Woman - it's a bit of a stronger smell but it's made with blood orange juice so is really nice and light and citrusy.

I'm 12 weeks pg at the moment and thanks to the mutant super-smell, can really only tolerate fresh, citrus smells so these two have been my go-to scents for a few months now.

Green Tea Elizabeth Arden. I wear so little that my bottle must be 7 years old and is still half full but I think it is light, citrus like and fresh smelling.

I like clarins eau dynamisante but for winter, it's not a fresh scent

The eau resourcante in blue bottle is lovely & fresh

4711 or Elizabeth Arden's Green Tea.

My mum loves 4711 and also Green Tea

Thanks all. Some samples I ordered arrived today, one of which is Green Tea - feeling quite hopeful about that one.

Will give them a go and see which ones I get on with.

Thank you!

the cleanest smell I find is lavender oil diluted. I use it on sheets, as a room spray, a perfume, hair spritz etc etc its not too old lady lavender smelling just clean and fresh. ds loves it too and steals my spray for his room. I use
this one lasts for ages

This may well be the solution: essential oil diluted in a carrier oil.

Having dabbed some of the samples I bought onto paper towels and selecting my favourites to try (I liked Green Tea and Light Blue), I ended up with raging nausea and a furious headache. I really loved the smells, but I've concluded its something in the formulation of the perfume itself I can't tolerate.

I think a natural alternative may be the way forward!

White Linen is a great summer perfume.
