I like a lot of tummy and boob support and a thick material. No halter necks. Can anyone help Me? Thanks

Approx what dress size and bust size are you? Possibly a Speedo Sculpture one?

DianaT1969 · 19/07/2016 21:17

Like this maybe?

Dorisdolalee · 19/07/2016 21:27

I'm a 14 and an hour glass with a small high waist and massive arse boobs and belly

That's nice Diana but maybe not enough bust control.

Has anyone tried a Miracle suit? Are they worth the £££

OP posts:
DianaT1969 · 19/07/2016 22:31

I haven't tried Miraclesuit but read on a thread here that they flatten, rather than support the bust. I assume that's because they aren't made in cup sizes with underwire etc. Hopefully others have first hand experience.
For cup sized swimsuits you could try:

Brastop
Leia
Airy Mary
Bravissimo
Simply Beach
Belle Lingerie

DianaT1969 · 19/07/2016 22:34

IAnd ruching is great for tummy camouflage IMO

orangjuicyfruit · 19/07/2016 22:38

I've found that m&s do some nice tankinis that have tummy control and don't look like they should be on a granny

Huldra · 20/07/2016 07:50

If you find a tankini top you like how abut these underneath?

Landsend costumes are good quality and thick material. I use their swim shorts loads on the beach as a I'm always on and off kayak etc they're a pant with more floaty short over the top. Their tankini tops are a good length and have support.

Allyoucaneat · 20/07/2016 07:56

Another vote for m&s tummy control ones.

Dorisdolalee · 20/07/2016 08:33

I've had a look at all your suggestions. Thank you all
So
M&S I can't seem to find the boob support as well as the tummy rouching. Which I agree is a great idea. But it's impossible to tell online isn't it.
I've had a look at a few and these are the ones I am drawn to. Not always sure why!

No boob control

Again not sure Of boob support

This is nice.

If lands end
Quality is good and the material is thick.

Is this really worth the money?!

Also - are M&S thin material or thick as I prefer thick

OP posts:
orangjuicyfruit · 20/07/2016 21:41

The m&s ones I have are double layered at the front and thick enough to not be see-throughSmile

MrsBrightside80 · 20/07/2016 21:45

I have the Speedo Sculpture and it is great!

PacificDogwod · 20/07/2016 21:57

Land's End swimming stuff is marvellous - really good quality, generous cuts, nothing will escape Grin

I have a previous version of this Speedo one at it is very supportive too

Dorisdolalee · 21/07/2016 10:09

So is lands end in the US? The tax and shipping is expensive though the deal is great!

OP posts:
Sonotkylie · 21/07/2016 10:46

There is a Lands End uk with normal UK postage rates.
Don't panic too much about boob control specifically. If its good quality and generally 'controlling' then it should sort out boobs too. I am a G cup and find that as long as its a good swimsuit with the right proportions, it all works without necessarily underwiring or whatever.

You may have to try a lot ...!

Dorisdolalee · 21/07/2016 11:45

Ok thanks sonot. You are totally right.

OP posts:
Dorisdolalee · 21/07/2016 11:55

So I'm looking at the uk lands end which is 30% off sale and I can't decide if in a 14 or a 14/16
Generally 16 is too big but a slightly generous 14 always makes things a bit more comfy. Or should I go hold me in with a smaller size?!

OP posts:
Mycraneisfixed · 21/07/2016 12:13

Remember UK size 12 is US size 8

PacificDogwod · 21/07/2016 16:05

Land's End is generously cut, so don't size up.
Their bottoms (whether bikini bottoms or just the bottom part of a swim suit) are really well designed to hold everything in IME unless you are very long of torso.

Dorisdolalee · 22/07/2016 20:04

Ok so update:
Lands end are great and really good quality - nice thick fabric & supportive etc. And on sale at the mo. And free delivery for your first order.

More supportive than M&S. I loved a couple of their costumes but not as much as this.

But I also want to try this.

Huldra · 22/07/2016 20:21

Above post ...There is a uk landsend site, the 14/16 is a very generous 14. The UK site gives the sizes in UK sizes and prices, not US.

EdithWeston · 22/07/2016 20:25

Landsend are lovely, but have shot up in price.

For the other end of the market how about this ASDA bodyscuplt cossie

Dorisdolalee · 23/07/2016 10:28

That's nice Edith. i do quite like having a bra as a top though. Such are my enormous boobs
