I'm going to a wedding in 2 weeks time and need to find a smart outfit which isn't going to break the bank. I'm 5'3", size 12-14 on bottom but v v large chested...and bfing isn't helping!! I don't want to spend too much as am on SMP now but want to look smart & fashionable but need to be practical (for any posseting moments). I really liked some of the suggestions that you gave another MNer last week but some of the colours won't work for my complexion...can you help......

What sort of colours do you like? Are you more of a skirt or trouser person? And where is the wedding - draughty church or warm hotel (or both)?

will the suggestions of shapes on the previous thread not still apply, just in 'you' colours?

Shivs1974 · 24/01/2007 11:00

I guess so - but I thought the skirt would be too long for me (I'm 5'3") & I really don't think I'd wear it again.....
I'm not v good at shopping so was hoping for some fantastic ideas from everyone....I guess I'll just have to browse more thoroughly than I normally would. Thanks for replying.

skirts are the least of your worries - it's the shape of the top that's critical. Get a good top first then track down a skirt or trous to match it.

Thank you - unfortunately that's my problem.....I always find buying for the bottom half much easier & concentrate on that.

Just thought I'd say that I was a bridesmaid at my sister's wedding 6 weeks after giving birth to DD2. Needless to say, the bridesmaids' dresses didn't allow for breastfeeding, so I spent considerable amounts of time out in the car with my dress round my waist!!

Sorry, I know that wasn't helpful, I just meant whatever you end up with, it won't be as bad as that!

Shivs1974 · 24/01/2007 11:20

Let's hope not
