Is there an eyeliner that I can wear on top lids that won't transfer to rest of lids?!

I really like the look of eyeliner on my top lid for a bit of definition but every time I do it it ends up smudged on the upper part of my eyelid.

I've tried using eye primer & powder to set it but it still smudges and looks messy.

I don't want black or anything too harsh or felt tip pen like. I've just bought Clinique intense eyeliner in a shimmery greeny brown and I love it but it won't stay put!

Can anyone suggest something that won't move before I waste anymore money?!

Another vote for Avon glimmerstick here. Stays put all day on my life.

A similar question was raised a few weeks ago and the answer changed my makeup habits for life!

I have exactly the same issue and the best reply, which has since worked for me is the following:

Primer on the top lid, specifically for eyelids.
Use a waterproof gel liner - I use the Mac one in a pot with the brush
Follow this with a eyeshadow of the same colour, over the top of the liner.

You need to work relatively quickly as the gel sets in about 90 seconds. If you apply the powder on top, not only do you get a smokey look, but it sticks the gel and doesn't budge.

It also works under the eye which always used to smudge on me. To really make the liner stay put, I swipe translucent powder under eye and on the lid.
