Where to buy nice a reasonable baby boys clothes?

Ended up really grumpy today was very excited to go out and buy DS some nice summer bits as he's outgrown his 0-3 month clothes.

Next and mothercare had some lovely bits but were ridiculously expensive. Ended up in tesco which had 5 rails of gorgeous girly clothes and one rail of baby boys clothes which was all jogging bottoms and plain tshirts.

Can anybody direct me to anywhere decent to buy lovely bits on a budget (I don't mind second hand) - love baby zara and gap but price again is too much for 3 month's wear!

Sainsburys is often a good bet.

Bulk lots of eBay or local Facebook groups.

At this age Primark is also ok as they grow so fast it doesn't matter that the clothes won't last forever.

Oh, and (unfortunately) you'll need to get used to not having much choice. It's terrible.

H&M is great. Lots of plain organic cotton and fun prints. Nothing's expensive and they often have 3for2 on basics. The vests have buttons on the shoulder rather than envelope necks which makes them smart enough to be a top in their own right.

Marks & Spencers, H&M or Sainsbury's.

Also see if your local NCT are running a nearly new sale any time soon.

H&M very good for babies, lots of brights. I did like the Blue Zoo at Debenhams stuff for DS when he was a baby, but I just had a look and he colour range is a bit more insipid than I remember.

Try and do as much shopping for bigger sizes to grow into in the sales. Good places for sake bargains; gap, M&S, house of Fraser. For buying clothes to fit now Matalan has some nice bits. My little boy was mainly in babygrows at that age.

I was in asda today and they had a nice colourful selection. There are often some great bundles on eBay, have a search for eg next baby boy bundle 3-6 months etc. You may have to check over a week or so but there's lots of good quality stuff on there.

Boden and Frugi are fab if you can find second-hand.

You'll get good quality in TK Maxx for a great price. Their baby & kidswear is excellent

Sainsburys are great. Really good quality and wash well. Asda are also really good but I find they are small fitting. DS has move up a size in Asda clothes but still has loads of room in Next and M&S, although they are much more expensive

Do you have a BHS near you? Their baby boys stuff is actually lovely

Most of ds's clothes come from asda and sainsburys

I swear by sainsburys for all of my DCs. It washes well, and is well fitting.

Debenhams if you go in a sale,H&M is my tesco they had lovely shorts and t shirts.

Gap often have 30/40% off as well, which makes their bits much more affordable.

H & M here too for basics.

M&S are good quality, decently sized and last (2DSs!) so worth a bit more money.

Sainsburys changes pretty quickly, so if you don't like one month, in a month or two it'll be different. A lot of DS wardrobe is bought during the 25% off sales.

Unfortunately nice things come with a nice price tag too!

I find supermarket clothing designs drab compared to say Debenhams, M&S, Ted Baker etc

I dont think nice designs, good quality and cheap exists tbh.

I think your best bet would be to get big bundles from ebay etc as you are more than likely to get nicer branded stuff at supermarket prices

Wow thanks all. Some really good suggestions. We have h and m and bhs will have a look there. Our local sainsbury has literally about 3 outfits and that's it.

Don't have a Debenham nearby unfortunately.

Just getting mightily peed off that boys clothes seem a second thought to all the pretty girl's clothes.

Boots is lovely for young children. They do a range that hopes upmto 18 months and then a range that goes up to 6 years.

Next is gorgeous I think for babies up to 18 months. They have a unisex and a baby boy range.

John Lewis toddler boy which is the JL own brand is really lovely.

I've always liked jojo maman Bebe for little children too, but it's more expensive again.

I got some great bits from boots the other day, really pleased with how they've washed and worn and how they look. Surprised me, usually more of a gap/Zara shopper.

Boots! They have lovely bright coloured boys clothes without too many tractors and cars, which is my pet peeve about boys wear. Also M&S. Saintsbury's is good,but I find Tesco and Asda a bit drab for boys.

It doesn't improve OP , I don't want to spend a fortune but equally I don't want my sons to look like;

(A) That they are on day release from open prison (grey marl joggers and plain Ts.

(B) Like little Lord Fountleroy (Sailor suits et al.)

(C) Like the worlds teeniest grandad ( Tweed and Flat Caps)

(D) Uncomfortable ( why sell hooded tops for babies that can't sit up?)

I'm also not a fan of blue / tractors / blue tractors etc.
I like some things in Next, Nutmeg (Morrisons), Sainsbos is dire at the mo. I bought DS1 a 1/2 top from Frugi that he still wears now at almost 3. It will also do well for DS2. It was £30 but has been worn and worn again.

We've bought loads of DS's clothes from Asda and Morrisons, and also have loads fro H&M (who normally have multi buy offers) and Gap (if you sign up for e-mails they normally have discounts every weekend).
