Cod - I had a fit when I opened your link. I saw the first pair and thought - OMG - how have these made the style section. Then re-read your post and realised it said 'third pair down'. Thank goodness.

I got 'em in the States.

Everyone was aghast that I paid so much for them, even there, but I've had them for 13 years now and they're still going strong.

I've also got a pair of Justin roper boots that I've had since 1989 and they, too, are in great shape.

They look gorgeous. I desperstely need a pair of boots like the ones in the link but shorter, like the wrangler ones. Can I find any?!
