Just that really. My daughter is fast approaching 3 and it looks a state. I reduced washing it to once a week, but it seems to have minimal impact.

Any tips gratefully received!

Hmm

My daughters is the same. We stopped using baby/childrens shampoo and are using coconut oil as a conditioner.

Why the funny look candy?

Well, she hasn't returned. Thanks ticktock. We've been using Johnsons Baby Shampoo, but will stop. Any recommendations? Where did you get the coconut oil from?

If she's sensible enough to keep her eyes closed and has a full head of hair, use your shampoo and Conditioner. Or one suitable for her hair type. I use Aussie on DD But she's 8.

She certainly has lots of hair and is good at keeping her eyes closed. Will look into Aussie. Thank you

My daughter has thick unruly curls and ice used original sprout shampoo, conditioner and detangler coupled with a tangle teaser brush - seems to do the trick!

Thanks Willow. I thought it was a typo and you meant 'original source', but nope! It's a brand I hadn't heard of.

Teach her to close eyes and tip head back, use the shower head if you can to rinse shampoo. Lots of conditioner on the ends.

I also use Ogx (think that's it, about £6 in Boots) Serum to keep tangles at bay. Wet or dry. About four squirts but DD hair is waist length.

Try palmers olive oil Co wash, couple of times per week. It might reduce the fluff. Amazon.

A few inches cut off the ends might help to get rid of the curly baby hair, also a detangling spray when wet and avoid sending her to bed with damp hair.
Maybe try putting into a couple of plaits when damp?
Most 2 year olds look adorable with fluffy hair though Smile

Thank you

Update: tried the co wash and she now has lovely shiny curls! Will try a number of these tips in the coming weeks.

I have no previous experience of fluffy hair prior to Dd (inherited from Dh, but he has a number 2 shave). Thank you for your help
