Best facial stuff for teen with blackheads and whiteheads?

Not sure if she needs a facial wash or scrub, or some sort of blemish stick?

She's got quite a few now. Bought a blackhead extraction thingy hoping to recreate Dr Pimple Popper but they don't seem to come out so I'm now going with a prevention method rather than removal method.

Simon, she needs to wash her face.
I'd lay off milk and sugar also.

My dd used eucerin ranges for mild acne, and it seems to clear it up very well at the moment.

The skin is a excretory organ, sweat, oil pheromones etc. Sometimes it gets overactive producing oil when hormones kick in.

If she's getting bad pmt, it could signal an imbalance.
Could she go on the pill? Angus castus isn't great actually for acne.

The pill was the only thing that cleared up my acne. I started out with black heads and little spots and then had cystic backacne which wasn't fun at all. I wish I'd gone on the pill at the black head stage and someone had advised me to give up milk it's the only thing that calmed down the sebum production, the pmt and heavy periods, all in one.

If my DDs dairy free diet doesn't do the trick, I'll think about getting her to think about the pill when she's older. Acne is very debilitating emotionally as well, and it's best avoided if possible.

I've had blackheads for years and could never get rid of them. That boire stuff that sticks to your face and you peel off is good bit what is really really good for blackheads is the konjac sponge. No chemicals or products it's just a really light exfoliating sponge but it's great. The blackheads i always had (we're talking about 20 flipping years!) on my nose are gone. Took about a week. I use it on any appearing white head type spot then put on a spot clearer from artnaturals i got from amazon that's got clay in it. That's really good too. I hate spots. The other good thing is one of the blue light sticks that kills bacteria. I think mine is called tanda zap but i got it from the US but sure similar lights are here too. Steaming can work well too.

I will nag her to wash in the morning as well as at night, have ordered a konjac sponge as well. Will see how it goes and take her to the gP if it doesn't improve. It doesn't look like angry, red acne though so not sure it's bad enough for medication.

There a big difference between and and teenage pimples but I agree if it gets worse go to the GP, there's loads that can be done these days.

I'm going to order one of those sponges!!

DS likes the L'Oreal for men gritty charcoal stuff - it's pricey but often on offer, also the Boots Tea Tree facial wipes for before bed & Clean & Clear gel for the angry spots that he's squeezed . He tends to get a lot of blackheads on his shoulders & using a facial scrunchie thing on a stick from Superdrug has made a huge difference.
