OK guys - you never get a second chance to make a first impression right?
So - interview outfit sorted - green jacket, black skirt and black fineknit scoopneck jumper.
Had haircut on Friday - I have shoulder-length bright red hair - goes very frizzy but she straightened it and it looked fab. I have bought straighteners but maybe not best to use them for the first time right before a crucial job interview (remember Jo and Meg in Little Women?).
So first question: how do I get my hair to go reasonably flat and tamed looking? Am normally a wash and go girl. Will blow-drying help?
Second question: Make-up? Mascara, foundation and lippy I suppose. Eyeshadow too? I don't really wear make-up usually unless I'm going out in the evening.
Third question: Nail polish. Yes or no. I usually wear quite a dark red if I'm wearing any at all - may be too much for an interview?
Sorry about essay-length post. It's my first job interview for seven years so feeling rather nervous as you can probably tell. Any advice on presenting myself will be received with gratitude.

okay...

Have a trial run with the straighteners and/or the blowdryer first - if you're not used to blowdrying it can be disastrous for creating frizz. Conditioner will help.

Foundation, mascara and a subtle lipstick sounds about right - you could use a subtle eyeshadow as well but make sure you feel comfortable. All the makeup needs to do is even out your skintone and enhance your eyes, not make you look glam.

I wouldn't bother with nail varnish, just make sure they're clean and in good nick.
