How much do you spend on your kids' clothes (and yours for that matter!)

Just interested really. My kids have lots of stuff from nice places (m&s, Boden Jo Jo etc) but I mostly get them in sales in next size up.
I reckon I spend £100pmonth on two kids including shoes
For myself, it's nearer £400, which I need to cut down as it's silly - I blame S&B!

DS probably about £50

I used to spend about £100 on me but I haven't bought anything recently.

Not much - much less than 20 quid a month
Clothes are mainly from m and s or tesco for daughter
I never get pricey shoes for her either
For me a lot more!

I get decent stuff in the sales for dc but we have done well from hand-me-downs and dc are both girls so I don't spend much, maybe £200-£300 a year? I spend on shoes, £30 a time, but dd1 doesn't grow much and dd2 can't walk Wink

I am trying to get my wardrobe into a collection of decent stuff that survives the washing machine and all looks presentable with minimal effort. Spent about £250 before returning to work but I'm unlikely to buy anything else now until I get a new winter coat and boots in Oct/Nov. That'll be another £250.

anyone else? And do you set a monthly budget or is it more wildly nilly?

Not much at all really.

I love charity shops and have some good ones locally. Most of my clothes and DCs clothes are second hand. Maybe £35 a month for all 3 of us? Not sure really. I'm not working today and have been charity shopping. I bought a pair of Next shorts, some Next jeans, a John Lewis school dress and a River Island dress for £7 in total.

I spend more on shoes as I have foot problems so need supportive footwear and and DCs always have properly fitted shoes. DDs have new school shoes twice a year and cheaper trainers etc as needed.

I spend an average of £100pm in total on the DC (age 7, 5 and 2), £150 on myself and about £100 on DH (although his is mostly saved and split into two shopping excursions a year). I'm a personal stylist and shopper, could easily spend a LOT more if I had it, but mainly on better quality high end stuff rather than greater volume of clothes. I keep quite a tight rein on all or wardrobes, I loathe seeing unworn stuff.

All OUR wardrobes.

Very little. Our DC are still young (3 and baby) and wear mostly hand me downs from their cousins - we are v lucky in that respect and DS1 has around 30 or 40 t-shirts which fit him right now! This year I've probably spent £30 total and am likely to spend very little until autumn when DS1 will need a winter coat.

I've spent £65 so far on myself this year but I have been trying to do no spend.

I am Shock at £600 per month on kids clothes!
