No idea weird, it's in the dress code along with shoes with no backs. It might be because of skirts getting trapped under the wheels of chairs, I guess. I might have ignored it once or twice

My colleague work a maxi dress to work yesterday and she looked lovely. She is plus size and never usually wears dresses. We are more of a smart casual office and it looked fine.

Bestiswest - what about burkas?

Good point, I hadn't thought about that. Hmm. Must check the policy again next week in case I imagined it (easily possible).

MrsLettuce · 07/05/2016 10:41

BestisWest yeah, I can see that could be a problem. Policy is probably more like 'strongly discouraged excepting for cultural reasons'.

AdoraKiora · 07/05/2016 13:39

My work dress code is smart casual, but I wouldn't feel right in a maxi dress, i dont think.

Ludways · 07/05/2016 13:53

Not for work but I can't decide if it's too casual or too dressy, it's definitely too something, lol

I love that dress, but wouldn't wear it to work.

NattyGolfJerkin · 07/05/2016 14:28

Casual but that's because I have to wear a uniform for work [zero help emoticon]
