We use a Philips Sonicare on our dentist's recommendation and it's been brilliant.

botemp · 05/05/2016 22:26

Seconding the Philips Sonicare. Shop around for the replacement brushes though they vary wildly in price.

deathb4decaf · 05/05/2016 22:32

What model sonicare?

I had an electric Oral B for yeeears and recently bought a Sonicare. It is fantastic and I'm cursing the fact that I never bought one sooner! It makes your teeth squeaky clean

Coldtoeswarmheart · 05/05/2016 22:38

I've just used my Phillips Sonicare for the first time tonight and I am impressed. It was £40 from Amazon.

messystressy · 05/05/2016 22:38

I bought this one: www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B00WZ1K1RE/ref=mp_s_a_1_13?qid=1462484188&sr=1-13&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_FMwebp_QL65&keywords=sonicare.
It was £74 a few days ago but seems to have drifted back to £99.

Indecisivejo · 06/05/2016 07:28

Another vote for Phillips sonicare, so much better than oral b! Any of them they are all same with diff heads, there's one of them on offer in boots for £40 at mo and my other half just bought it.

andadietcoke · 06/05/2016 07:34

I have a sonicare too. This one: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B00R2SCHH2/ref=mpsa12ait?qid=1462516329&sr=8-2&keywords=philips+sonic+are+diamond+clean&pi=SX200_QL40&dpPl=1&dpID=31Q5ghURQzL&ref=plSrch
I don't use the glass charger as we don't have a power point in the bathroom but it looks good! I charge it in its case. Still haven't worked out the different settings - I just use the whitening one!

ontherightpath · 06/05/2016 07:45

Another vote for phillips sonicare, it has transformed my teeth. I have the whitening one. Only down side is the cost of replacement brushes.

deathb4decaf · 06/05/2016 11:33

I'm tempted by the sonicare diamond clean. Do you find that it actually whitens? It's a lot of money for a toothbrush, what makes it better than a £40 one?

I changed from Oral B to Sonicare about 2 months ago. Really glad I did!

KoalaDownUnder · 06/05/2016 15:56

I'm trying to figure this one out, too, OP.

Currently use an Oral B electric toothbrush, and a week ago my dentist said my teeth are pristine.

Hard to justify a Sonicare, then, but....will it just feel amazing?

blueskyinmarch · 06/05/2016 16:04

I have recently got my first electric toothbrush. I also have a Philips one.It is this one. It is great and my teeth feel very clean.

MrsT2007 · 06/05/2016 16:14

Oral B 5800 (on offer at boots at the mo for £100)

There's a reason why I don't need a hygienist blood it very often, and this is it. Made a huge difference!

MrsT2007 · 06/05/2016 16:15

Trip!! Hygienist trip.

It's been a long day!
