Here is an excerpt from Handbag .com. If it is true then why don't the cosmetic industry run with it?????

Anyone know???

Dear John
I've read that a supermodel's secret to banishing those under-eye shadows is preparation H, otherwise known as haemorrhoid cream. Do you know if this works and if it's safe to try?
Michelle

Dear Michelle
Gross but true! Use only the smallest amount (it is greasy and you will need to allow time for it to soak in), and it is not an everyday remedy. But crikey, does it ever work well. It is also good for puffiness around the jawline, and there are not many make-up artists that don't carry it in their kit. By the way, we normally transfer it into a small pot so those we decide to use it on don't realise what we are using? trade secret and all that! If you need it, give it a go. All you have to lose is your puffiness?and your pride as you go in to buy it! Mum's the word.
All the best,
John

I remember reading once that hemmeroid (sp) cream is very good for clearing up spots and that models use it all the time.

Weird!

are you thinking of giving it a go then?

LaDiDaDi · 12/01/2007 12:42

I'd heard of the before but I've never tried it myself.

I do not get enough sleep and I do not sleep well so as a consequence my eyes are like someone a lot older. I got some Valarian yesterday and slept better so hopefully there will be a knock on effect on the bags etc.

Doing a google I kept seeing this 'miracle' haemmorrhoid (how the hell do you spell it) but to be honest it sounds a bit risky to me.

heard of it..never tried it

the cosmetic industry don;t run run with it because it would stop them being able to charge 5 x the price of pile cream for an undereye cream!

donnie · 12/01/2007 12:54

maybe under eye cream IS pile cream!!

donnie · 12/01/2007 12:55

which makes me wonder.....has anyone used their under eye cream on their piles?

lulumama · 12/01/2007 12:55

would it work on general flabby areas?

Tommy · 12/01/2007 13:35

have heard of it - think Angela Rippon or someone of her ilk reccommended it once?
I was in chemist when someone came in asking for it for her eye bags. The poor sales assistant was in a bit of a fluster saying "Well, I wouldn't advise that....."

hoolagirl · 12/01/2007 14:37

Apparantly its only good as a short term solution.
It thins the skin thus making wrinkles appear less noticeable, but in the long run it will make them worse.

drosophila · 12/01/2007 15:43

so all these poor models are probably having their skin damaged without their knowledge.
