Past volumes here.

I tried to post on the previous thread and realized that it was full.

Anyone still around?

I have a parcel from Korea waiting for me at the post office. Can't wait. Grin

I've used both of those companies above! I do prefer the bravura

AuroraPolaris · 17/08/2016 14:23

OMG P50 for body!!! How did this escape my knowledge???? Ok, I've googled it and it's between 70-80 euros for about 250ml so I can def live without it.....
Mind you I did try the BR moisturizer and it gave me spots!

Yeah my DH already knows he will have to shop for me in Taiwan and I already have a few addresses and a long list of sheet masks.

So, the other stuff I tried over the summer-

Sulwhasoo ginseng oil, which is absolutely lovely, plumping, super concentrated and thick (three drops are more than enough). Seriously considering purchasing this, though I must say that a 5ml sample can last a long time used say 2-3 times a week after serum.

Sulwhasoo gentle oil cleanser - also amazing, super mild, lovely smelling oil I used as second cleanse. Again, a little goes a long way as second cleanse, so even after three plus weeks of daily use my sample is barely half empty. Don't know if I would "invest" in this though, as I truly do not believe in super expensive products you wipe away after max 90 seconds. I'd rather put my money towards a Sulwhasoo oil and or serum.

Dorothy Co waterproof mascara I got as GWP. This is a barely there mascara, but very waterproof, that behaved very well with just very minor flaking after swimming and even showers. So good option for giving some definition to my mostly blond lashes for summer days.

HeyMacWey · 17/08/2016 16:56

I haven't posted for ages as been happy with my routine, however I'm coming to the end of my missha longer name ampoule and fancy trying something different. Any recommendations?

I'm currently erring on the side of the scinic honey ampoule. Has anyone used it?

LumpySpacedPrincess · 17/08/2016 21:15

What step in your routine is it for HeyMac?

HeyMacWey · 17/08/2016 22:41

Penultimate step - I've been using the cosrx honey overnight moisturising cream as the last step.

LumpySpacedPrincess · 18/08/2016 09:05

Does the scinic ampoule have similar ingredients to the Cosrx honey mask? It might be an opportunity to get another ingredient in there. I am loving the Cosrx honey mask, it is such a joy to use.

I also bought this the other day. My routine lacked Niacinamide as my dynasty cream has run out and I'm waiting on the Cosrx Rice pack. Anyhoo, the Cerave pm lotion is lovely!!! Its bog standard packaging but just look at the ingredients, Niacinamide, Ceramides and Hyaluronic acid. The lotion absorbs really easily and layers up beautifully, it goes over my snail and under my Cosrx Honey mask.

I used the Bravura 10% Glycolic and it was excellent, I have my eye on their low ph toner next, ph 3.5. That and some Cosrx snail 92 will be my next buys.

HeyMacWey · 18/08/2016 11:01

I'll check the ingredients list and see.
I've looked at cerave before but I'm oily/combination so not sure if it'd be too moisturising for me.

I've been looking at the cosrx GALACTOMYCES as a future step (sorry for caps!)

LumpySpacedPrincess · 18/08/2016 14:40

I was looking at that too. I'm about a month off finishing my Benton Aloe toner and I'm thinking off replacing it with this. I don't consider myself brand loyal but I keep coming back to Cosrx. The bha and aha have worked so well for me and the bha completely cleared my daughter's skin. She started her periods early and had acne almost overnight which really knocked her confidence Sad

I used the Clear Start range from Dermalogica which was...okay, certainly better than most brands.

Then she started using the Thayers toner and a swipe of Cosrx bha and they have cleared up, unless she skips a day or two and they return with vengeance!

HeyMacWey · 18/08/2016 22:27

I do like the cosrx brand - I've got the NHS lotion which I love too.

I've just bought both the scinic honey and the GALACTOMYCES lotion so will report back :o

HeyMacWey · 18/08/2016 23:04

Bha not NHS :o

LumpySpacedPrincess · 20/08/2016 11:53

I wants me some NHS lotion! Grin

I've used my Bravura Glycolic peel twice now and I am SO impressed, it's a really good product. I'm using it once a week and the Cosrx BHA and AHA about 4 times a week.

My Cosrx snail arrived yesterday, just as my Mizon Snail Ampoule run out. It's lovely, pure, unadulterated snail goo. Two pumps is enough and it sinks in like a dream.

hollinhurst84 · 21/08/2016 08:41

My kawaii panda box arrived and I bloody love it! (As usual)
Cushion foundation, cream blush, smile line mask, gel sheet mask and a whitening sleeping mask. Oh and a hand cream

botemp · 21/08/2016 12:24

I finished up my Naruko Rose & Botanic Night Gelly the other night. I did like it as a night cream as it hydrated really well but I won't be repurchasing. It ran out pretty quickly (80g tub in less than two months), and always needed an oil or another moisturiser on top which sort of defeated its purpose in the end. So I wasn't as enamoured with those gellys from Naruko as everyone else seems to be on Reddit but maybe if you have oily skin it works out a treat.

I've been sampling some other Naruko masks after falling in love with the Magnolia one, the Oriental Beauty Tea Youth Revitalizing was nice enough but didn't make me want to order more instantly. I liked the Raw Job's tears though, not as instantly metamorphosing as the Magnolia but it did leave a very nice bright complexion. For whatever reason I bought the tranexamic acid and apple seed cheek mask too but have yet to try it.

I've been having great success with the Komeyu Rice Bran oil from Japan, it's rather large at 60ml and I bought it pretty cheaply ($12) and it's great on the face but equally brilliant on the ends of my hair as a preconditioning treatment or a quick taming.

The Kuramoto Bijin Hakumai Ferment Milk from the same brand has been a lovely hydrating light moisturiser this summer. The little sake bottle and packaging are a beaut but it's not the most practical unfortunately. I'm wanting to try their Rice Oil Essence Serum next that is also part rice bran/sake based with lactic and ferulic acid.

That Ginseng oil from Sulwhasoo sounds lovely Aurora, might want to order it for the winter time. Where did you buy your sample from? I remember when looking into the overnight vitalizing mask (until I spotted the silicones in the INCI) that I got overwhelmed by all the sellers and possibility of being sold fakes and/or old products.

AuroraPolaris · 22/08/2016 11:17

botemp the rice bran oil sounds lovely. Is it pure rice bran oil or is it based on rice bran?

I attach a pic of the eBay seller from which I bought the Sulwhasoo oil. Not cheap for 5ml, but well worth it, as my skin truly loves oils, and part of my consideration was having the little bottle for summer travels.

(Naruko magnolia mask has been added to Taiwan shopping list Grin )

LumpySpacedPrincess · 22/08/2016 11:37

What's in the Sulwhasoo oil? I'm a huge oil fan, I'm currently bouncing between Rosehip and Body shop Oils of Life. I love oils.

Thanks for the mini review on the Gelly botemp, I've been umming and ahhing over that one. I still love my Holika red wine jelly, it sorts of Shlups everything else in.

botemp · 22/08/2016 11:46

I was just looking it up Lumpy only to discover it has fragrance Sad, such a shame as it has lots of great ingredients in there and sounds perfect for winter with Squalane high up in the INCI.

Ingredients: Limnanthes Alba (Meadowfoam) Seed Oil, Squalane, Panax Ginseng Seed Oil, Cocoglycerides, Camellia Japonica Seed Oil, Isostearyl Isostearate, Dimer Dilinoleyl Hydrogenated Rosinate, Oleic/Linoleic/Linolenic Polyglycerides, Sesamum Indicum (Sesame) Seed Oil, Pinus Koraiensis Seed Oil, Nelumbo Nucifera Germ Extract, Prunus Mume Fruit Extract, Prunus Armeniaca (Apricot) Kernel Oil, Lilium Tigrinum Flower/Leaf/Stem Extract, Paeonia Albiflora Root Extract, Nelumbo Nucifera Seed Extract, Polygonatum Rehmannia Glutinosa Root Extract, Officinale Rhizome/Root Extract, Fragrance

AuroraPolaris · 22/08/2016 12:01

Yeah, sorry ladies, my skin is not bothered by fragrance... But it is such a lovely oil and you are right in assuming it will be perfect for winter as the three drops I use leave one's face truly basted!

(Must not waste anymore time on Naruko website)

botemp · 22/08/2016 12:01

In my disappointment I forgot to reply to you, Aurora.

Yes, the rice bran oil is a 100% rice bran oil (AH sells it too as a cooking oil but I'm not all that confident slapping it on my face). It has a high source of Vitamin E and supposedly has natural brightening effects but I think it's more melanin inhibiting than anything else. It also claims to help with absorption of UV rays. However, I've been seeing a lot of these claims lately from natural brands and inevitably see idiots on the internet touting that coconut oil et. al. are perfectly good sunscreens... ARGH! Angry

botemp · 22/08/2016 12:03

Oh, but you must waste time on the Naruko website, it's a rule or something, if only to stare at that peachy face of the founder and namesake that looks freakishly young when in fact he's in his fifties or something...

AuroraPolaris · 23/08/2016 19:35

Oh yeah I know the rice oil from AH. I used it a lot for cooking in the past as it has a high smoke temperature. Don't know why I stopped actually???

Don't even get me started on oils replacing SPF nor on the "apply once a day" stuff either ;) Anyway my face is very sensitive to coconut oil so....

But.... I've just repurchased the Caudelie Ployphenol 15 oil so theoretically I don't need anymore as I have three other ones

Haven't had anymore time to research the Naruko site yet but OMG the whole magnolia line looks amazing.

Was about the order the OST VIT C serum but on a last INCI check saw it has methylparaben, which I'm a bit reluctant to use on a daily basis. Any other suggestions, ladies? Any opinions on the Klairs one?

AuroraPolaris · 23/08/2016 19:37

botemp forgot to mention that when I orderd the Caudelie oil from Farmaline I saw they stock the Bioderma SPF spray.
For some reason Easypharmacie won't deliver the oil to NL anymore!

botemp · 23/08/2016 21:20

For whatever reason I too stopped using it while thinking it was quite a good cooking oil. I guess some other novelty oil came along and replaced it, poor thing...

The magnolia line is supposed to be very good. A lot of the products contain a very high amount of Niacinamide which why I took interest in the brand initially. I still have the magnolia night gelly in my stash but have yet to use it. Naruko niacinamide % overview here. I've been contemplating the magnolia toner but don't really need a toner in my routine but do need a high % niacinamide in there again.

I saw they sell the Bioderma at Farmaline but I actually ended up picking it up when I was in Antwerp not too long ago. Didn't get much use out of it until this recent weather and I like it a lot for quick top ups, very refreshing too.

Weren't you interested in the Dr. Wu Vit C serum as well? It's supposed to be one of their star products. I do like my Melano CC which is rather bargainous but still no clue what sort of strength it is, does the job though.

AuroraPolaris · 24/08/2016 11:37

You see absolutely correct! I forgot about the Dr WuConfused
I will compare the INCI to the Klairs, as the later is quite impressive and packed with peptides.

Yeah I've also been using the Bioderma again the last few days. So handy to have in one's handbag!

teawamutu · 28/08/2016 10:27

Hi all, haven't posted for ages but have been diligently ABing.

Hits:
Mizon Correct Essential Activator (just re bought, lovely as a first step at night).
Skin Food Black Sugar Oil
Everything from 3w studios (incredibly cheap from Roseroseshop, tried emulsion, eye cream and sheet masks).
Benton Snail Bee essence
Tony Moly red wine masks

Misses and mehs:
Joseon cream: really scented and disappeared too quickly on my dry skin.
Etude house Moistfull sleeping pack - ditto
Face shop rice cream - smelled horrible.
Etude House honey ceramide trial pack - bought for holiday, didn't like the smell although the face cream was nice.
Holika holika baking soda cleansing oil - ok but not as good as skin food.

A definite theme on the scents used!

Softymo cleansing oil due today, and took delivery of Mizon pure and lovely cleanser and collagen cream yesterday. Both minimally scented and the cream seems to be the very rich texture I've been craving.

Still need a rich sleeping pack though, any recommendations?

OttosTitsling · 09/09/2016 12:55

Hi everyone. Hope it's ok to resurrect a moderately old thread - I've lurked on these threads for a year now, and have been happily working my way through loads of samples of AB goodies. Now, I'm sort of stuck......I absolutely love Tony Moly Timeless Bound placenta cream, but it's been discontinued. Would anyone have any recommendations for similar products? It's the only one I've found that is rich enough for the coming winter (North America, cold and bitter winds) but that doesn't make my skin all congested and greasy.
