Who recommended Hylamide SubQ?

Because I think I want your babies. It's unbelievable. I'm 49, usually taken for a bit younger, but perimenopause and chemotherapy have taken their toll. A couple of people on here were singing it's praises, so I read some reviews and then bought a bottle. It said on it that you can expect to see an improvement in your skin in 10 days, and I thought 'yeah right - I'll give it 6 weeks'. I swear that 2 days later I could see the difference. It's bloody miraculous. Anyway, whoever you were- thank you! And have you got any other miracles tucked up your sleeves?

Ooooh Bigbuttons and Nabootique! How about resurrecting the Amazing Faces? I have missed your advice and skin banter!

Nabootique · 21/04/2016 16:13

I'd be delighted ThenLater. Is the old one still knocking about? I think it was number two.

ThenLaterWhenItGotDark · 21/04/2016 17:28

Yes, I unearthed it and had a good read the other day.
It was exactly a year ago!

Let's do it again, I am in and out of all of these skincare threads but it was nice having a little special corner!

bigbuttons · 21/04/2016 17:32

Yes, let's , that would be fun! It would be great to find out what we've tried, liked and disliked along the way.

bigbuttons · 21/04/2016 17:33

I have the Hada labo, have had a bottle for aggeess, it lasts forever and is nicely moisturising.

ThenLaterWhenItGotDark · 21/04/2016 17:52

Hurrah! (sorry for hijack OP- but consider yourself an inspiration for the thread revival!) I think BB should start- it was your baby if I remember?

chopchopchop · 21/04/2016 17:55

Liska · 21/04/2016 19:41

ThenLater I am deeply honoured

chop which serum?

PoppyAmex · 21/04/2016 20:34

I agree with Haba Lado hyaluronic; it's amazing. Just remember to apply moisturiser right after it, like any hyaluronic acid.

My absolute favourite thing though is Laneige water sleeping mask here, it's a gel that goes on top of all your night time routine and "seals" everything in. You wash your face in the morning and be prepared for BABY smoothness. It's amazing.

chopchopchop · 21/04/2016 20:42

This one

MyNewHobbyIsGin · 21/04/2016 21:06

Wasn't there a thread a while back about those lines that reach from your nose to the corners of your mount, I think I got the recommendation from that thread.

bigbuttons I imagine that if you don't have dehydrated skin it may not do much, but I'm guessing that you know that already.

I also didn't see any 'lifting' effect, so I'd like to get another morning serum to target that. A thread where plebs like me can ask their daft questions would be amazing!

bigbuttons · 21/04/2016 21:15

I don't drink enough water, that's for sure, I suspect my skin is dehydrated, however, it is always well moisturised so maybe that's helping?

I have found that when I use retin A regularly that my skin can't tolerate most shop bought creams. I got a sample from Chanel the other week, supposedly a moisturiser for very sensitive skin. It burns like buggery!

Am happy to start another amazing g faces thread, please don't let me sit there like Mrs no mates though! I shall die!

bigbuttons · 21/04/2016 21:35

I started an amazing faces thread, but can't do a link on my iPad!

ihatethecold · 22/04/2016 06:33

Ooh great. I'm going to find it.

Nabootique · 22/04/2016 07:32

chop If dehydration is your issue then the Hylamide would be much, much better than the Boots one. The Boots one contains some hyaluronic acid, but not that much, and the peptides are way down the ingredients list. It also has a lot of silicone in it, which is not always a bad thing, but in this case I think they've used so much so you get that false silky-smooth feeling, and there's less room for ingredients that are really beneficial for the skin.

chopchopchop · 22/04/2016 08:17

Fab, thank you Nabootique, I'll get some today and carry on with my ordinary serum then. And come over to the other thread and learn some more! I have really dry skin, always have done, so it's definitely worth a go!
