Foundation for *really* pale skin

I'm looking for foundation, tinted moisturiser or BB cream for very pale skin. Most of the products that I have looked at are too orange. The other caveat is that it must be cruelty free, so that seems to rule most brands out these days.

Preferable yellow or neutral tones.

Can anyone help?

Missha M Signature #13 is nearly white - too pale for me but might be just right for you.

Adding some old swatches - I'm NW5-10 depending on the season.

Not sure about cruelty, but I mix the lightest MAC shade with a little moisturiser.

I have alabaster skin and always struggled to find foundation. I have dark hair and blue eyes. So want something to match but not so pale I look goth!!

Then a friend started selling FM make up. It honestly was the best foundation I have found to match my skin. Super cheap too only £15 or about that.

Previously I have found Dior foundation to be good or estee lauder double wear - although probably both to heavy for young skin. They both do super light porcelain shades.

I will not waste money buying online. I need to try real samples on DD first, so need to be able to go into a shop. Most of the suggestions on here I tried today and they are all too dark or the wrong shade of pale. DD's skin is more yellow toned and all the really pale shades are pink toned.

Some branches of Boots and Superdrug stock Barry M foundations and they do a pure white one and a cream one. You could also try buying one of those concealers that are green. Thats what i used to do as i have very pale skin. You can get them from the Boots naturals collection and im sure other makeup brands too, if you put them on under the palest foundation it will cancel out the pinkness or just use it on its own and then blur with translucent powder (which again you can just get in Boots) x

"Boots No7 have a very pale one."

It's not pale enough.

Oh, I'd forgotten about the Lisa Eldridge video. Definitely worth a look, May be a bit out of date though (as in some of the shades will no longer be available)

Estee Lauder Double Wear goes extremely light but may fail on the cruelty free criteria.

NARS foundations in Siberia might be worth a shot. Very pale and yellow toned.

Nars sheer glow in siberia. It's incredible. The palest yellowest shade I've ever seen that doesn't make me look dead Grin

I mean brands, not shades.

Chantecaille Future Skin do a very, very pale shade but it's quite expensive.

Nars in Siberia is a yellow toned very pale shade.

It's true that most very pale foundations here are pink toned. That's why Asian brands like Missha are so good; they have pale shades to suit more sallow tones too. However these are only available online AFAIK, so I'd just stick to using up all the too dark ones she has, and use lightening drops or something similar.

The problem with Asian brands is that they will not be cruelty-free - likewise with western brands which are sold in China. The two criteria are virtually mutually exclusive...

Bobbi Brown Porcelain is nice - don't know on the cruelty topic, sorry.

Can you find anything on the sample service?

It's a website but you are only buying a small sample - not forking out for the whole bottle. I hear she is good at advice too - though I can't personally vouch for that.

I have bought off them though.

You can buy samples from Missha.de. I have very pale skin and Asian BBs have been a revelation. In Western foundations, even the palest shade was usually too dark or too pink. Now I can get different textures and coverages. I even own foundations that are too pale for me! Transformative Wink

The palest bourgeois 10 hour sleep one is pretty good. It's no 72 I think - the rest of their stuff is too orange for me - only this one comes in pale shades. Might be too dark still but easy enough to find in big boots/superdrug.
