Anyone successfully got rid of lines/wrinkles under the eyes?

I had botox for the first time a few weeks ago and while it has worked miracles for the lines at the side of my eyes (they have gone completely), I think it has made some of the lines under my eyes deeper as I am now using different muscles in my face. The clinic owner who did it says there is nothing you can do about lines under your eyes unless you have actual bags and they're bad enough for surgery which mine are not. She said you can't use botox as they're not caused by muscles.

I've done a bit of googling though and there is plenty online which contradicts this. I'm not sure if it's true though. Clinics aren't usually in the practice of saying there's nothing that can be done if something can be done as there's money in it for them. But also, I think of all the famous women who are in their 30s, 40s, 50s and beyond and don't look any different to how they did in their 20s and I think that they must be doing something. But what is it?!

So this Tretinoin...is it just for fine lines? Or does it do anything else?

I suffer large pores, and get the odd spot once or twice a month but my skin looks awful without makeup. I don't have many wrinkles but the fine lines under my eyes bother me.

I've tried so many things, would love a miracle treatment!

Can you PM me details of how to purchase from your lady? Thank you

Can I have a pm too about how to order please?

Honestly, once you've got them I think it's either fillers (don't recommend) or surgery to remove them.

The best thing is to prevent them - you need a really good rich thick night cream, copious use of oil - almond, avocado, extra virgin olive oil, and a good moisture surge pack like Logona moisture treatment mask.

Don't use water or alcohol and water on your face as it really dries your skin up. Use pure rosewater instead of water - food grade generally comes without alcohol and is much cheaper than cosmetic kind.

singing sorry for delay...pesky RL getting in the way of my MN activities Wink

Here's a good link for peels. Https:www.realself.com/guide/tca-peel-overview

Sign up for pics. TCA is gold standard peel for anti-aging. I've done it couple times. Jessners plus retionoic is my favourite peel combo though. You can also see lots of reviews for red light therapy and micro needling on this site (am not affiliated) and...bottom line...whether people think the treatments are worth it!

Microneedling. It's a long story Grin. I use professional grade and surgical depth once every few months. 2mm mostly, 1mm under eyes, 0.5mm eyelid and lips. Topical anesthetic is a must. So is sterile/ thoroughly sanitized work area and impeccable aftercare and a strong stomach. No going out for 3 days, make up for 2 or 3 days thereafter. I do this myself, but I would honestly recommend this depth be done at a doctors office. By a doctor. Pigmentation suppressors and supplements / topical supporting collagen development before and after are essential for good results inc fish oil, vitamin c, msm, Tretinoin etc.

Anti aging is my hobby since about your age. I make most of my own topicals and have invested in quite a bit of pro-grade equipment (have microbial lab background so comfortable with issues around sterilizing to prevent infection). I can assure you that it's possible to halt and even reverse some (not all) aspects of aging and you are definitely starting it at the right age. Best of luck.

Help! I'm 34 and from following this thead, just realised that I've been fooling myself for years by solely looking at my static face in the mirror (no 11s etc. so felt safe). I just smiled and got the shock of my life - there are six deep dynamic lines starting from top of cheeks to just under the brow. WTF do I do? You've all been offering such excellent advice (e.g. Dolphin/twinkle plus many more). Is it best to just book a consultation in London (where I live)? Or are there other (cheaper options). Or is it too late? (Can spend £500 absolute max, more like 200)

phoolani · 15/04/2016 21:06

Can't swear it was this that worked - maybe one of the various creams I bought was, in fact, a miracle cream - but failing that, a bit of face yoga got rid of a couple of nasty wrinkles I weirdly developed virtually overnight and only under one eye.

singingsixpence82 · 19/04/2016 15:45

Thanks so much for that info Square, Twinkle and Kingfisherfree- you all know so much! And sorry for my late reply; real life has also been getting in the way of my mumsnet activities!

How come you don't recommend fillers Twinkle? And I'm not sure I can use so much rich oily stuff on my skin as I have acne and it only seems to go away when I keep my skin slightly dry overnight. Still looking for a solution to that though but that's another thread.

And thanks phoolani too - not sure there's any research to back up face yoga but I'm going to have a look.

Washbasket - sorry I don't have much advice but don't panic; in this day and age you have choices. I think you can get free consultations from a number of places although it tends to be a nurse you get for free rather than a doctor. I'm not sure if that affects the outcome or not.

As a women, I never thought I was going to find a product that could provide me such a good young looking. It makes my skin soft, smooth ,clean and fresh.Deep lines are visibly reduced, closer to the surface.Recommend to everyone to use dermalmd wrinkle serum.

SquareDolphin

What strength Tretinoin do you use round the eye area?

broun · 25/10/2017 10:55

I've tried dermalmd for mine and I am able to get rid of those awful wrinkles. It is very good for skin bacterial infections.

skunkrat · 25/10/2017 17:05

Can tretinoin be bought over the counter in Dubai? DH there now...

Loult234 · 06/12/2017 11:52
