Anyone had Lash Perfect/other semi-permanent lashes put in?

And can you tell me about it? I've booked to have it done next week but having just had my sensitivity test done I'm having second thoughts.

It seems like a very lengthy and expensive process for something that only lasts 2-3 weeks, and I'm a bit worried my own (already fine and spindly) lashes drying up and falling out underneath. But the idea of not having to wear mascara every day is appealing.

Is it worth doing? Would you do it again?

Barely any damage to my natural lashes, and I know this for sure as I took them oit for a few weeks at height of hayfever season. They were all still there, I just felt like a bodied egg in comparison!

I've had Noveau lashes in for about 3 years now. I have them refilled every 2 weeks and takes approx 40mins. I love them, no real damage to real lashes but you do become more aware of them falling out. Make sure you don't pick at the glue, or you will loose lots of them.

Also, start fairly small (not sure how lash perfects scale goes but I started on 10 with Nouveau which wasn't too much longer than my natural lashes and with a decent curl).

I had semi-permanent mink lashes a few years ago when it was still very new. Yes, it looks beautiful, especially from the side, but it's a different look from wearing mascara, it just looks like you have really nice lashes naturally and when you do wear mascara it can look a little OTT. I liked them but felt the maintenance and constant upkeep wasn't worth the trouble, if one got loose it poked in the eye and you'd have to carefully remove it. Maybe the technology has moved on since, you couldn't use any oils (especially cleansers) as it would dissolve the glue and since my eyelids are slightly oily I think that contributed to having to replace them quicker.

It didn't damage my lashes, though they did shed quicker, in the end I just decided to spend the money on a Chantecaille mascara with peptides that makes them grow thick and long at the price of half a session that lasts me half a year easy and gives me a similar look. They took a long time to do and it wasn't exactly a pleasant feeling and I was always tearing up after (not from pain, just irritation from the process).

Hmm, interesting. I have oily lids too - before I discovered tubular mascara I had constant panda eyes - so I'm leaning towards not bothering.

I love the idea of having naturally gorgeous looking lashes, but not of the faff of getting them done!
