I've concluded long is the only answer for me .... This is my hair 6 months ago before another salon butchered it.
Tbh my plan is to stay right away from hairdressers they never get it right and I really resent paying for it. Never again

You are right it looks great in that photo and has the the little sideways fringe too!

You don't look at all pissed off Grin

Pissed that looks really lovely - it suits you much better. I'm not a big fan of hairdressers I think there's too much of the emperors new clothes tbh but my cousin and I have planned another day out in Birmingham in about 3 months time -shopping coffees and cakes etc and are going to give Matt and Dan another go.
I've had so many bad cuts from hairdressers I was seriously thinking of cutting it myself

I think the thing is with the whole curly girl thing is they can't do anything you can't do yourself .... I want swishy hair when I leave a hairdressers because I cannot dream of looking like that normally .... To be stuck under a 1950's bonnet and look like Betty from the rovers was not my idea of a pampering

When I've had shorter curly hair it never looks good. Shoulder length is the best length for my hair. I disagree my hair always looks fab after an appointment with Matt.

Uphillanddowndale12 · 09/04/2016 17:34

Yes Zara I noticed that as my hair colour seems sharper after my appointment and my cousin kept commenting how shiny it looked

I wish mine had I didn't go in there wanting to be disappointed

ZaraW · 09/04/2016 18:41

Pisssssedoff if your hair is longer I would give Matt another go, I would never ask for a short curly hair cut as it doesn't work for my curl type and would end up looking like Kevin Keegan whilst Uphill's short style looks fab.

I'm a big fan of Matt my hair was in bad condition with all the blowdrying I've no split ends now and hair looks so much better.

Pisssssedofff · 09/04/2016 18:43

I went very recently the photo on page one is what they did to me .... I was close to tears at the till and then he over charged me by £20 and had to refund it whilst I stood there trying not to well up. I won't be going back

ZaraW · 09/04/2016 18:53

Fair enough do you think you will be happier with the cut once it gets a bit longer? I'm tempted to cut it myself but don't think I'm brave enough.

ZaraW · 09/04/2016 18:55

Forgot to say you're hair looks lovely in the second photo.

Pisssssedofff · 09/04/2016 18:57

That's not me but it looks pretty similar to this when its long. It's just literally going to take about two years which is upsetting

I don't have curls but follow CG methods. I've been through tons of SLS and silicone free shampoos and these are my faves
Giovanni which I order from iherb.com and John Masters Organics which is v expensive, but I only use as a leave-in conditioner. It's magic stuff. My hair is dry & coloured

SoLongSuzanne · 09/04/2016 21:36

I went to Matt recently based on the great reviews here. Travelled up from London. Very disappointed, cut just didn't suit me at all. First time in 19 years that DH commented on a haircut 'maybe try somewhere new next time' Grin
