So refreshing to only have three changes of clothes!

So.. temporarily living away from home as we had some work done to the house which means we have to move out with the toddler around!
I spent so long clearing the house I sort of "forgot" about packing any clothes for myself, and I don;t think I appreciated it would be quite as long as it is for plaster to properly dry!
Anyhow, back to the point.
I have 2 work dresses, 1 pair of jeans and 2 jumpers (a hoody and a "nice" thin wool jumper). and of course associated underwear.
Luckily the weather is pretty constant at the moment (cold, rainy, wet or average).

How refreshing though to now not have any worry about what to wear.
Depending on the event I am either
casual (nice jumper and jeans) ,
very casual (hoody and jeans)
at work (one of the dresses)...

Also means a LOT less washing / ironing.. I just wash/dry/iron what I need on the days not in use..
I am not sure how I will go back to having a full wardrobe!!!

At the moment I'm 2 weeks in.. and not yet bored of the clothes...
i really suggest you try it for a couple of weeks!!

x

How do people with more important things to think about end up on a style and beauty board? Do they get take a wrong turn on the way to Quantum Theory?

I hope this thread continues. It's not really me but that's partly why I'm interested.

I have many important things to worry about.
I still want to look nice though.
High fashion is too much effort for my brain but it enjoy seeing what others chose.
Anyway, simple classics suit my lifestyle as its less effort but still look good (I hope).

Well... I suppose I like to think of my self as pretty intelligent.., but of course I still like to take pride in my appearance. And sometimes want to know all the hints and tips on how to look effortlessly stylish as is possible.. So hence why I posted on the style and beauty board.
Being well dressed does not necessarily mean being obsessed with clothes...?!?!

I quite like planning what to wear every day......

Tryingtobenicexxx · 11/03/2016 22:35

I also enjoy planning what to wear daily although in the winter I loose my mojo as I think nobody can see under my big coat anyway but come spring /summer I love it.
I love clothes.

my wardrobe is very limited.
I have the same trousers and tops for work (plus a power suit for occasions) and jeans/jumpers for the weekend.
mornings are really quick because I just grab the first thing from the pile. it fits, suits me and is comfortable.

For the last three months I've been trying to streamline my wardrobe (visions of perfect capsule wardrobe with colour-coded designer clothes hanging on identical hangers like a lifestyle blog), and have got rid of a lot without acquiring very much - and it is So Dull! Trying to keep quantity down has meant going for very versatile items which can all be combined in lots of different ways. I may be getting this all wrong somehow, but what it boils down to is jeans and black trousers, white shirts, and black, grey and navy jumpers. I used to love lying in bed at night planning the next day's outfit, but now I open the wardrobe in the morning with no enthusiasm at all. The thought of two dresses, a pair of jeans and two jumpers brings me out in a cold sweat.
