Apparently it's been said a million times but - tube mascara

Thank you for the recommendation after I posted about being unable to wear mascara. Now I can!

I ordered the Loreal one from eBay and it arrived today. I only used the black, not the white, as I was hurrying to test it before getting kids to bed etc. It looks the same as it did 5 hours ago!

I absolutely love tubing mascaras. The only kind I can wear (stupid oily eyes!). I like the L'oreal one and am currently using a clinique one and have a number 7 one. The clinique and number 7 are more daytime looks and take a long time to build up though but I like a natural look.

ChipsandGuac · 19/02/2016 12:52

I hate it. I tried the Boots no 7 one and it pulled my eyelashes out. The Boots woman said it was just the tubes but it wasn't. My eyelashes were noticing thinner after a week of using it.

ChipsandGuac · 19/02/2016 12:52

Notably not noticing!

I've got very sensitive eyes and thought I was destined never to wear mascara until I discovered tubing mascara. It is brilliant. Stays put yet comes away very easily without agrivating when you remove it. I've got the clinique one.

ggirl · 19/02/2016 12:59

there are loads tube mascaras on the market , here is list

origamiwarrior · 19/02/2016 12:59

How do the tubing mascaras work with eyelash curlers? I have dead straight eyelashes which only keep their curl if I curl them after my mascara has dried.

ConesOfDunshire · 19/02/2016 13:47

Clinique Lash Power is tubing, but what is less obvious in the marketing is that so is Clinique High Impact. The latter has a much better brush.

L'Oreal is going on my list as the next one to try.

ConesOfDunshire · 19/02/2016 13:48

Origami I curl and then mascara, but I heat the curlers with the hairdryer first. Don't imagine that tubing mascaras would be any stickier than others but don't quote me on that as I haven't tried!

megadude · 19/02/2016 15:03

I love tubing mascara, it's the only one that doesn't give me panda eyes. I currently use DHC mascara, but heard a lot of the good things about Blinc. Has anybody used both, and if so how do they compare?

Balletgirlmum · 22/02/2016 00:36

How easy is it to apply? Would it be good for dd (aged 14) who is a bit unsteady in applying it but needs mascara to wear under hot stage lights

megadude · 22/02/2016 14:22

It's really easy, just like regular mascara. I drop some eye makeup remover on a cotton wool bud tip to wipe any smudges that get on my eyelids.

Well, my tube mascara came through the other day, and I tried it out. Brilliant. It was still all on my lashes at the end of the day - in fact it stayed on till the following morning. There was virtually no smearing under my eyes even after sleeping with it on. It's the way to go.

As a contrast, I have a 'normal' mascara on today. I've had to clean under my eyes twice, and this is supposed to be an every day waterproof one.

So thanks for this thread, my life has been improved by it Grin
