Non lacy non underwired bras

Dd is 14.5 and VERY fussy about her bras. She only likes very plain no lace and doesn't want underwired. She won't let me measure her but I'm guessing she needs around a 30F. I can't find anything she likes in this size and am fed up of ordering online and sending back.

The latest 'no' is a Royce bra from John Lewis which fits the criteria apart from a small mesh section.

I think what she wants is the sort of white starter bra but they don't go beyond a D cup I think.

Anyone help please?

Was just about to suggest the deco linked above, it's one of the few in her kind of size. She might need to think about wires soon though- they are safe so long as the bra fits well but that means she'll need to either go to somewhere like bravissimo or let you help fit her

Thanks, I thought I'd checked John Lewis but that one looks just right thanks amazonian. Will try the deco one too.

statistically I would love her to try wired, there's loads more choice, but she's adamant she won't so there's no point trying to convince her.

The Triumph doesn't seem to come in a 30 back size....

I suspect she'll grow out of that objection. Right now most of her mates are probably wearing 34a/b incorrectly fitted by marks and Spencer so wearing the sort of plain non wired ones she's after. Give it a year or two and it will probably be very different IME !

Dancergirl I saw that one in JL yesterday while trying to find something for DD (with similar request!) Excellent range of sizes and 3 colours, very plain!

A word of warning about the Deco. The lack of wire stops the cup curving, so coupled with the plunge it creates an impressive cleavage on most people. It's become a favourite of ladies who've had breast implants...

There really is a lack of choice for small band, D+ non wired bras. Although they're safe enough lots of women dislike wires in pregnancy from a comfort point of view but most maternity bras are as much use as a chocolate teapot as they're too soft! I'm not a lover of moulding but I kind of think for bigger cups bras really need moulding or wires - no wires and flimsy bra fabric doesn't work!

I find that for most people, the discomfort- especially but not exclusively in pregnancy- is caused by the wire being too curved and so pressing on ribs/bump/outer edges of breast tissue.
Even people who normally wear a sharp U underwire such as Cleo comfortably often have to change to a gentler curve like some of the Freya's during the later stages of pregnancy. Non wired options don't always prove to be more comfortable because they don't have the lift needed to move the breasts clear of the bump!

Tell me about it! I have a short torso, big fairly narrow boobs and my dd was 8lb6. She was well embedded in my ribcage. I stubbornly wore wires until I finished work at 38 weeks as they were the best of a bad bunch but they got whipped off the second I got home.

The problem for me was that going for a wider wire just ended up with them stabbing my back too. Maternity bras suck.

Mind you I'd love to see a better range for teens too which was more designed to reflect their breast shape which is often very different to that of fully grown adult breasts. It would never sell though cos most of them are in 34As!

Next do some really soft non wired non lacy bras in packs of 2, I'm a 34FF and I wear mine on days I just don't want to wear wired. They're very comfortable and have some side support in them for larger cups.

Next does not seem to do 30FF in non-wired though, unless I missed something? They either start in 32 back, or in 30 pack, come in A-C only. As usual..
