Real Techniques product issue

I've been a fan of their brushes for some time but recently bought a new expert face brush that disintegrated last week.

I submitted a complaint on their site. They replied quickly but have now gone quiet despite chasing.

Anyone had a similar issue? A shame as I have lots of their brushes but now feel reluctant to buy another.

I had the foundation brush, it applied foundation very well. The bristles/hair started coming out within a month or so and then the whole bunch came out completely. I don't think the glue used is very good. Shame as foundation went on flawless. I use make up sparingly so I doubt it was from excessive use! Won't buy again. Don't buy their beauty sponge either, it just soaks up most of the product!

I can't be bothered to complain.
Back to good old bobbi brown, worth the investment, lasts years with regular careful cleaning.

This happened to me. The stippling foundation brush just fell apart after a very short period of use. I binned it and bought one from Mac.

Thanks. To be honest this is the second expert face brush I've had and the first was great. I think the current one has a glue issue. A shame and still no reply from customer services.

Well they have got back to me in the end and have given me a 20 dollar voucher. I'm kind of pleased with that. I've had to pay a bit of postage but am getting a couple of new brushes. Let's hope that they last.

Are you a Glosser, Happy? There was a thread on there about this.

I've had the same problem with the stippling brush. Been through 3 now. Brilliant brush but the last one only lasted 3 months before dying, despite being lovingly and carefully washed. Won't be buying again.

When you wash the brushes do you dry them out on a radiator?

Hi I sometimes look at Gloss but not often.

I'm not a great brush washer to be honest. But when I do wash them I don't put them on the radiator.

I'm not sure how to use the stippling brush although I have one. What do you use it for?

Never had any problems with their brushes although I much prefer the expert face brush over the stippling brush for applying foundation. The latter feels a bit rough in comparison. I'm not great at washing them either but leave them to try lying down on a windowsill, never on a radiator.

Agree on the stippling brush. Not good at all for foundation.

Ooh my DD bought a set of three (one was a fan shaped, can't remember what the other two are)

One of them is losing hair in a clump (it's still there she hasn't pulled it out)

We don't have the receipt but I bought it from Superdrugs.

These haven't been cleaned they are new.
I'm going to email them a photo I reckon. Interesting to hear that other people have had similar problems.

I have the stippling brush. Its fantastic. Mine has been fine. Bought it about 7 months ago so maybe things have changed?
