What on earth do I wear to a piano concert?

Going to see a well known piano player in March but I don't have the slightest clue what would be the right thing to wear. I'm very much a jeans and hoody girl, will occasionally wear a skater dress if going out but I'm guessing that wouldn't be the done thing.

I'm 5"4, size 10-12 and have no boobs whatsoever, if anyone fancies helping me out I would be very happy

I think you'd be absolutely fine in either jeans or your skater dress tbh! If you really won't feel comfortable then maybe a dressier top and cardi with jeans? My mum is a musician so I go to concerts a lot and anything goes (especially popular is the White Stuff kind of look)

As said, anything goes. No need to dress up or go for a try hard look. Jeans and top fine.

Skater dress also fine but doesn't need to be 'dressed up'.

Seriously, classical music does not need special clothes. Jeans are fine.

People are more likely to be looking at you in the foyer, so your nicest coat is a good idea. Once the lights go down nobody can see you anyway!

Jeans fine, unless you are in a box and it's a black tie do ! There will be lots of others in jeans, work clothes, wherever they have come from.

If you wear jeans/trousers and a smart top you'll be fine. That's what I wear to classical concerts.

I've been to all sorts of classical concerts. Regardless of venue there's always a good range of dress: from evening dress (tends to be older audience members) to jeans etc.

It's really not a big deal so just wear whatever you fancy and enjoy the music

I'm going to this too, I went to one of his shows in Oxford and didn't see anyone hugely dressed up mainly jeans nice tops, casual dresses etc.
I'm going straight from work so will just be in work clothes.

I went to see Einaudi last year at Blenheim Palace. I wore a really casual dress because it was a lovely summers evening. Jeans would have been fine though.

It would only be black tie if it was a special gala, fund-raiser or the like - in which case it would be specified on the tickets/ invitations. Have never seen black tie at an 'ordinary! concert.

On how long it lasts, I'd expect to be out of a classical concert earlier than the average theatre performance.

It's not really my cup of tea but I can appreciate his talent all the same, I'm just glad to be away from the kids for the night
