Curly hair....I need volume and anti frizz

That's it really, very wavy rather than curly with a tendency to frizz. Alot of anti frizz stuff makes it greasy and flat. And volume products make it frizzy.

What shampoo and conditioner combo will give me both? Thanks

A few tips:

Avoid conditioners with silicones in them - these do smooth the frizz but with build-up that makes your hair greasy.

Things to deal with frizz:

  • Don't wash your hair every day
  • Avoid towel drying your hair (I wrap my hair in a curl ease towel after I've washed it. The rough fibres on a normal towel cause frizz)
  • Don't use a hairbrush at all
  • Avoid using harsh shampoos

Lots of useful advice here: www.britishcurlies.co.uk/

I use gentle shampoos (non SLS) and then silicone-free conditioner. The brand doesn't seem to matter that much. Waitrose stock a few different gentle haircare products (Korres, Avalon etc.).

The only product I use after washing now is Boots curl creme (which gets recommended a lot on here).

I have this:

www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B00641UCY8/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?qid=1453634835&sr=1-1&pi=SY200_QL40&keywords=as+i+am&dpPl=1&dpID=51c997HhrnL&ref=plSrch

Sorry about the size of link! Ace for curly hair. It's a Co wash so nothing that messes with curly hair as it tends to be dry.

p.s. I realise you said that your hair is wavy rather than curly, but everything I said still applies...

*contains nothing

My hair is the same, and I make my own shampoo using coconut milk, olive oil, water, castile Soap, honey and essential oils - takes about 5 minutes to make and it's sorted the frizz right out. After drying I use a very small amount of either coconut or monoi oil, and that's it. It's made such a difference.

My hairdresser who specialises in curly hair recommended Body Shop Rainforest range. It's SLS and silicone free. There's also a more expensive range called Devacurl which is specifically designed for curly hair which is available on Amazon. My hair is more wavy than curly too but v prone to frizz!

Destiny whereabouts/who is your hairdresser?

I go to Hazel at Belli Cappelli in Egham and she's fab but it's a bit of a trek for me.

He's in Birmingham. Don't know if that's any nearer for you? He is fab and has clients from all over the UK.
