8 hour cream, what do I actually do with it?

I was very kindly given an Elizabeth Arden 8 hr cream set for Christmas. There was lip balm, night cream, moisturiser, hand cream, all of which I know what to do with no problem.

But the 8 hr cream itself is flummoxing me. It says about using it for chapped skin, grazes, burns etc. But I'm not so accident prone as to keep burning myself and I never cook. I feel like I'm not really 'getting' what I'm supposed to do with it.

Anyone able to enlighten me?

I put it on my heels every night to keep them smooth. I also use it in any patches of dry skin.
I take it on holiday and use it on bites too.
It's great to use on your cuticles (hands and feet) before you go to sleep.

I have the same dilemma, then read a tip on here to cover your hands in it at night with cotton gloves over for a deep treatment. I also use it on ds when he gets grazes and it does seem to heal more quickly but as you say there's limited need for that. I've had my small tube forever now :/

Heels is a good tip, might try that. Also using it on the DC. DS2 is rather accident-prone understatement

I find it to be the best lip balm - ie better than the lip balm version, IYSWIM. And at the moment, I have a bad cold and am scratching my nose with my tissues, even though they're balm . The 8 hr cream is the best for that. And sometimes, sore patches, eg at the side of my mouth.

I use it rarely, but I do find y really useful.

I have very dry sensitive skin and use it as a barrier cream over my cheeks and forehead when walking the dogs. I kind of warm it in my hands then pat my face. I don't look too shiny but it stops my skin chapping.

Also after sunny days in place if aftersun.

If my skin is feeling really dry i just use it as a moisturiser. A little goes a long way. I use it before going to bed and I wake up with skin that's fully plumped and lovely. My DH hates the smell but it's honestly amazing at fixing my skin so I don't care.

Fully plumped and lovely sounds good!

thanks all. Looks like a little bit now and then might come in handy. As long as I remember I've got it!

I carry my 8 hour cream everywhere with me. I use it mainly as a lip balm but also on cuticles. Also on patches of dry skin. Using it on my heels is a great idea!

Think the actual 8 hour lip balm (in the tube like lipstick) is pretty rubbish and I don't use it at all.

Cuticles and the dry ends of my hair.

It's a great lip balm and if you ever get a cold it's great on a sore nose. I put it on the kids at night if they have any dry patches. It's sticky enough that it stays put.
