That's it really. Which ones should I buy? I don't really want to spend more than £30 but Boots has some £50 ones half price.

Try looking on www.price-droptv or www.bidtv

You pay £7.99 postage and they have loads of items at silly prices.

Just type in what you're looking for.

I just paid £80 for a sewing machine that should have been £350!!!

All brand new stuff, i've had loads of things from there.

nailpolish · 12/12/2006 12:12

i think i got mine for £85 too, online

littlemisspiggy · 12/12/2006 12:20

ok that's quite pricey so what's so good about them?

they are the BEST! Honestly, they are amazing straightners, well worth the money!!

littlemisspiggy · 12/12/2006 14:23

Thanks guys but I plumped for Babyliss pro 230 ones at lunchtime. The GHD ones were £105! I really couldn't stretch that far so the ones I got were £59.99 reduced to £39.99.
Thanks for your help anyway.

u will regret it. i got some 30 quid babyliss ones in boots a few months back. My hairdresser uses ghds when i go to get hair done but couldnt justify spending 85 quid. Just ordered ghds last week as the other ones were useless and had wavy hair within a couple of hours of straightening.

3xamum · 12/12/2006 14:49

I have mega curly hair, I have had it professionally strightened twice (£200 a hit - I kid you not) spent gawd knows how much on every pair of straighteners out there and in my opinion Babyliss pro 230 are the runaway winner. Only thing I would say is that mine broke after a year but had no trouble getting em replaced. Not as bad as the pair that started to smoulder whilst on my hair and I threw them across the room in panic (They were bought from the hairdressers at £100!! )

Ghd are really good if you use their products according to my hairdresser. I think you will be pleased with your Babyliss though

3xamum · 12/12/2006 14:51

lou100 were they the pro 230 ones? I'm really suprised they didn't work. People who haven't known me long never believe my hair is naturally curly cos they do such a good job.

littlemisspiggy · 12/12/2006 15:00

I'll let you know how I get on. Actually I'm not gonna use them on my natural hair. I have braids with extensions (human hair)and will use them on the portion of hair that is not braided so that the ends are straight.
What a palaver

prettymum · 12/12/2006 17:10

littlemisspiggy · 15/12/2006 09:29

Well here's the update - the Babyliss pro 230s are the business!!

GHD's on ebay are the best and the cheapest place to buy them... not sure if i can say the sellers name... but if you search on there you will see the same seller again and again....

i worship my ghd's-ive got the wide paddle ones (£109) and yes its alot of money, but they work really well in my wiry thick horrid hair, and now i look like a pantene advert!

always cover your hair in a heat protection spray first, and dont burn your ear like i do!
